If not, don't flame me as it serves no purpose.
I like what she wrote.
I liked Cain alot, but I’m for Perry too. He may have his faults, but he has served and he was a real farmer and grew up in the real world.
I told people from the beginning that I would prefer Rick Perry remain governor of Texas.
But I am sick with the options for President.
I grew up 14 miles from Rick’s family. Know both his father and mother. Have never met Rick.
My daughter and son-in-law know him from meetings.
I have always voted for Rick and will do so this time in the primary and if he gets the nomination in the General Election.
Thanks for sharing. Really nice read.
I like what she wrote too. Thanks.
Thank you for this post.
“90% of us were registered Dems-we never even considered voting for a Republican ... I dont think face to face I had ever met anyone that admitted to being one. But Perry won us over...”
I thought when he ran for the Ag Comm he was still a Dem ?
She must want it more than Hillary did.
Cheers!
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.
I loved that. It sounded down home and real. Some of her phrases made me laugh.
I don’t want a president I could beat up either.
I can assure you it was not Anita. I know her family.
She nursed my grandfather before he died. Careful about what you say about her.
And besides, I know Victoria too. She is from East Texas, not the Rolling Plains where Paint Creek is.
I honestly can’t remember exactly when he changed to Republican but I believe it was BEFORE he ran for ag commissioner. someone will know.

I imagine a lot more people will read and enjoy this tomorrow after the Perry supporters are pinged.
Thanks for posting.
Tell your friend(s) who are heading from TX to IA that they really have to dress for unbelievable cold. Not a chilly cold, but a biting, brutal cold. I lived in NY and IL, but was not prepared for IA. I’d bet they don’t even sell IA-ready winter gear in TX. They may have to look at buying when they get there. But they must be prepared.
There seemed to have been reports floating about that, just as Palin was going for the Presidency until her family put the kibosh on it, so Rick Perry was reluctant but for his wife's influence.
BTW, Paint Creek. Was that the place where the stupid scandal about the rock with the N-word scrawled on it was located? (I thought it was a cheap shot, trying to get Cain and Perry to take each other out.)
cheers!
Yes, Iowa is terrible cold in Winter but the people are very warm. Especially in the small towns. Rick will resonate well there.
