Rick Perry had a six-year run in the state House, he switched to the GOP to run against populist Democratic Agriculture Commissioner Jim Hightower in late 1989.

If I repeated myself, you must have asked the same question before.

The rock?

It was at the property when they rented it. They did not own the land. They removed the rock. End of non-story.

Yes, it existed. No, he had NOTHING to do with it.

I also like Perry, recently gave to his campaign, the only one I’ve given to so far. I’d love to see him or Santorum get the nomination, unless Palin enters. She gets it, too! Thanks for the post. I will forward this to friends.

2000 on the ground and thousands more connecting on the Internet, speaking on radio shows, appearing in TV interviews, helping at his rallies, opening their wallets and praying for Rick Perry — the man who can turn the fate of our country back to us, where our children can live good and decent lives and we will know they have a future.

“You can’t tell me that America is not exceptional. You can't tell me that because I've seen it”

"Rick Perry has always remained faithful." -- First Lieutenant Daniel P. Moran

[6:45] Medal recipients tell of their sacrifice and the sacrifice of their fellow heroes -- and why they support Rick Perry.

The day after Pete was killed, I was sitting at the dining room table with Hardtail, just trying to make sense of all that was going on.

My cell phone rang. "Unknown" said the caller ID.

Thought about letting it pass, but I answered it.

"Alan, this is Rick Perry."…..

When you referenced the switching from democrat to republican, it reminded me of the area in Texas where I live. This region has a congressman (Ralph Hall) who was a life-long democrat until very recently. The staunch conservatives around this area always made a habit of voting for Mr. Hall, even though he was a democrat (myself included.) We voted republican for every office, but always supported Ralph. His voting record was always that of a conservative.

Well, hubby and Rick wear the same ring, both served, hubby being of an earlier class did serve in VN. Both have similar backgrounds. Both “old Texas families”, both hard on truth.
I have met Rick and found him to be a man who looks you in the eye when talking, not flailing around for the next hand to shake.

I’m debating what to wear to the inagual.

Yes, he was a Republican when he ran for Ag. He ran against the flaming liberal, Hightower.

Wished I was that sure about the outcome. I think he is the best under the circumstances.

Debates hurt him. But I do not feel they reflect ability in office. Only the ability for bull.

We don’t need hot air, we need a leader. We shall see.

It's the other end of the thermometer from me anyway...

Cheers!
