The mainstream media has reported this as the "Santa killer." No mention that it was an Islamic honor killing until this Dallas Morning News story. Our daughters and granddaughters are going to be the ones who will suffer because of for this obfuscation and excusal of barbarism.
This has been going on for years. When Amina and Sarah Said were brutally murdered by their father, also in Texas, on New Year’s Day 2008 for the same reason -- having non-Muslim boyfriends -- I thought, this is it. This is going to break the dam wide open. America would not, could not possibly, ignore this horror caused by and sanctioned by Islamic beliefs, assumptions, and attitudes.
And yet America continues to ignore this horror. And more and more people are victimized every day.
Aziz Yazdanpanah, a Muslim, didn't like his daughter's non-Muslim boyfriend and was exhibiting stalker behavior. “She couldn’t date at all until she was a certain age, but when he was going to let her date she couldn’t date anyone outside of their race or religion.”
Again and again we have seen honor killings in which fathers kill daughters who are dating non-Muslims or have supposedly besmirched the family honor by some sexual indiscretion. Lt. Todd Dearing says that motive isn't important -- which is generally only the case when Islam is involved.

a more ominous portrait emerged of Yazdanpanah in interviews with some of his daughter’s other classmates.
“She would come to school crying and telling us her dad was crazy,” said Lacie Reed, 18. “He wouldn’t let her wear certain things. He was always taking her phone away, checking her call history and checking her text messages.”
Friends said Nona’s father had installed cameras all around the home so he could watch the family’s comings and goings. Others said he nailed her bedroom window shut so she could not sneak out at night and see her boyfriend.

I also find it interesting that he murdered his son, his sister and her husband, as well as other relatives besides his apostate daughter.

When I first read this story, I posted, ‘angry muzzie father mad at family for going ‘Western’?
Sadly, I was right.
Since the media has been so hush hush about the details surrounding this story, I kind figured it was something along these lines.

This was no more “honor killing” than Jared Loughner.
Pamela Gellar’s credibility just took a nosedive...particularly over his “crazy” restrictions. Every father that doesn’t let his daughter run like a greyhound practices damn near everything mentioned.
What's so awful about the murder is the consistency of it: this isn't one crazy man going after his daughters for his own reasons, but reasons based on religious and cultural ideology shared by others. For every "honor murder" we hear about in the papers, there are at least eight more waiting to happen, from fathers who think exactly the same way this man did.
And yet we get TV shows like "All American Muslim."
Neighbors said Yazdanpanah and his wife, Fatemeh Rahmadi, separated months ago when she moved into the Grapevine apartment where the shooting took place.
The couple’s oldest daughter — 19-year-old Nona Yazdanpanah — was a Tarrant County College student who had just graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School along with her best friend, Allison Baum.
“It was just family issues, just typical family issues,” Baum said. “The mom and dad didn’t get along. The dad was never violent, never did anything to hurt them. He loved his kids and he was a good dad.”
At Coldwater Creek Spa in Southlake, employees told News 8 Fatemeh Rahmadi had not shown up for work, causing alarm, because she had never once been late in the four years she worked there. They feared the worst.

There's witness testimony that attests to the fact that the father forbade his daughter from dating non-Muslim men, and was twisted out of shape about her social life.
What's happened here, fits the 'honor killing' profile like a glove. It can't be ruled out, and in my mind, is the most likely motive for the murders.

I believe it was his wife’s sister and husband, which would make it not so unusual.

I was pleasantly surprised to read here earlier today that Islam-is-Bad had a feral pig problem.
Zarei owned a popular Dallas, Texas, ranch and was well known in the Iranian-American community, according to WFAA. On Christmas Eve, the family hosted a party at the ranch. The gunman was not invited.
Nasrin Rahmaty had been separated from her husband since March, according to ABC affiliate WFAA. Rahmaty and her two children moved into the Grapevine, Texas, apartment where they were murdered, while Yazdanpanah reportedly remained in the family’s Colleyville, Texas, home, which had been foreclosed on last year, WFAA reported.
Yazdanpanah had been having financial troubles after his real estate business slowed down and had reportedly filed for bankruptcy.
“I swear i never had a good feeling about him when i met him,” Katherine-Anne Coronado, who said she was longtime friends with Nona Yazdanpanah, wrote about her friend’s father on a Facebook memorial page.
Another family friend, Sedi Toumani, agreed.
“During the years, we sensed things, but not to the point he would take his own children’s lives,” Toumani told WFAA.

It would be interesting to hear how DFW area Muslims are reacting to this story today - particularly the women. I'm sure there's a lot less skepticism about the motives in this case, than there is among the general, politically correct public.
I can't imagine the degree of psychic pressure such reports put on Muslim women in Western countries. The repressive effect must be chilling.

“Certain age”: I've told her 30, but she's 16 now and I'll probably let her go to the prom this year if it's well-chapperoned by someone with the same last name as her. (If your last name is Smith, you might want to reword that rule if you decide to borrow it.)
“Race”: Human. (from one blood He made all the nations)

Property records show that a bank had foreclosed on Aziz Yazdanpanah’s Colleyville house in the 5400 block of Sycamore Court in 2010, but he was still living there, neighbors said.
Baum recalled Nona Yazdanpanah complaining about her parents fighting before they separated.
“I knew they were separated. I knew things were rough, but I never thought anything drastic would happen,” Baum said.
Baum said the separation was very difficult on the family’s father.
Baum said the family was Muslim but celebrated Christmas as a cultural holiday. The parents were originally from Iran.
They were obviously westernized. My baby sister's Muslim husband just attended a family Christmas get-together at my dad's house in San Jose. He partied right along with everyone else.
Still, you never know when 'sudden jihad syndrome' is going to take one of these people. There have been lots and lots of cases of westernized Muslims, who suddenly 'went jihad', to the surprise of everyone who knew them.
He killed the entire family because over the years they sided with his wife and daughter instead of supporting his righteous Muslim views.

This doesn’t have any of the marks of an ‘honor killing’ other than the perp was apparently a Muslim male. The name is Iranian.
Do we know for sure the family was Muslim? They were celebrating Christmas, with a tree, and gifts and wrapping all found at the massacre site. Not only was the daughter killed as is the norm for ‘honor killings, but everyone in the apartment, including the perp.
Whatever is being said now on the memorial Facebook site, yesterday the daughter’s best friend was quoted talking about how the dad was such a great guy. Lots of quotes about him being a ‘good guy’ and that those who knew him were shocked. Too many conflicting stories on this for any to have credibility yet.

But Mr. Shafia’s two and a half hours of examination-in-chief was riddled with inconsistencies. At one point, for instance, he said he and Ms. Yahya had been at the Kingston Mills area before, apparently meaning on other holidays; at another, he said he’d never seen the area until Kingston Police showed him the accident scene.

Santa Claus killings: Financially strapped dad planned family massacre, Texas police say
A father dressed as Santa Claus arrived to his family’s Christmas party with two guns, executed his entire family and then killed himself — and planned the entire thing, police said Tuesday.
Police believe the Christmas Day massacre in Grapevine, which left seven people dead still surrounded by Christmas presents and wrapping paper, was premeditated, Grapevine Police Sgt. Robert Eberling said.
Eberling would not officially identify the shooter or the victims, family friends identified the gunman as Aziz “Bob” Yazdanpanah. Last ear, a bank foreclosed on Yazdanpanah’s house, and he separated from his wife in the spring.
Yazdanpanah’s wife and two children are believed to be among the dead.
The gunman had some prior dealings with at least two other police departments but not Grapevine Police, according to Eberling. He did not say what kind of dealings, or when or how many incidents there were.
Totally agree. Every country in the Western world is committing quick cultural suicide by allowing in a flood of foreigners from non-Western countries.
Acclimation to a new culture usually takes a couple of generations, even when the immigrant parents are determined to adopt the new country as their homeland.
Some countries, such as France, have had such liberal admission policies, that they now have huge swaths of their country that are essentially foreign soil. We've got that to a large degree in many of our major Southwestern cities.

Given the mixed genetic background of my own family, I can't help but agree.
I care a lot more about the character, intelligence, and aptitude of my children's prospective mates, than what gene pool they come from.
