Carter opposed the free market and the principles of liberty. And he was a horrible leader.

Palin on the other hand is an excellent leader who happens to be good looking, therefore lots of people who had their feelings hurt years ago by good looking women confuse themselves into ignoring Palin’s record.

“y’all are still willing to do a write in campaign”

I don’t live in Iowa so I am not doing anything. But really, what would the harm be in a write in campaign in Iowa? What difference does Iowa really make?

But is doesn’t matter.

She isn’t running.

There is no further need for slander, or to spew the Democrat propaganda.

The leftists and the Democrats won.

Your side won yet you won’t let it go.

Nobody likes a sore winner.

paid for by the Romney campaign no doubt.

Nope. Grass roots Palin support groups have been organizing and donating money to this effort for months. Most staunch Palin supporters are fully aware of all of the behind-the-scenes action that's been happening with this over the last few months.

I never said she was too good looking to be president, I said she should not be elected on her good looks! Gees quit trying to turn it around.

What does the money that she EARNED have to do with political donations? You are simply throwing mud to see if any sticks. Your mudslinging is not going to change anyones mind. Why do you do it? For pleasure?

Stop missing the point.

You’re the one focusing on Palin’s looks, while her supporters have looked beyond that enough to know what a superb record she has.

“...the books she wrote...”

So what’s wrong with selling books?

She wrote a book, I bought it.

I paid money to read a book. I got entertained for my money. She got money for writing the book that I found entertaining. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

You got a problem with free enterprise now, too?

Your leftism is showing again.

Oh forget it, I am done with y’all, continue with your love fest with someone that has already told you she is not interested. Write her name in, hope you like Obama or Romney for the next four years!

Fine.

Just remember, judging political candidates based on “vibes” is not good. Please look carefully at their actual record.

This effort is total used oats.

Maybe, maybe not. Eisenhower resisted all efforts to get him to stand for the nomination, but finally relented to pressure from his supporters when they drafted him at the convention.

As far as I know, Governor Sarah Palin has not made any ‘if nominated, I will not accept and if elected, I will not serve’ kind of statement.

No, she hasn't. As a matter of fact, just days after she made announced that she wasn't going to seek the GOP nomination, she appeared on the Mark & Bob show in Alaska, and stated that she would reconsider her decision if she saw something "as big as the '64 quake."

That one statement by her opened the door just enough to launch several grass roots 'draft Palin' movements around the country.

Palin is all fluff and ruffle

Easty, that's an incredibly narrow minded view for a Freeper. Surely you're aware that Palin faced down one of the most entrenched, corrupt political cabals in the country in her first gubernatorial race, and not only did she win the election, she directly caused many of those corrupt bums to go straight to the grey bar hotel.

She then went on to achieve stellar results as Governor of Alaska, prior to being chosen by McCain to be his running mate in 2008. At the time, she had the highest favorability rating of any US Governor.

"Fluff and ruffle"? Hardly.

And everyone knows that almost everything Governor Sarah Palin has said has been scrutinized for every nuance. Her true character emerges from the 24,000 pages of her email that the paid press went through and found nothing, except that she was a conscientious , concerned honest Governor.
And tonight, without her speaking, her supporters have lit up the internet.
I expect more comparisons and contrasts with the Eisenhower draft to be made.
The 2012 Republican Convention could be a red hot ticket affair.

Everyone: Sarah Palin declined to run because she said she was afraid for her family. Who would know better than her? Given the meat grinder she's been through, isn't that fear reasonable?

So why drag her in? I can see voting for her as a protest, but trying to drag her back into the race as a serious candidate...isn't that a little callous towards her family? She's a human being, and so are they. Methinks her wishes in the matter should be respected.

I expect more comparisons and contrasts with the Eisenhower draft to be made. The 2012 Republican Convention could be a red hot ticket affair.

My wife hardly follows politics at all, and gets her news from Yahoo, yet when Sarah Palin announced that she wasn't going to seek the GOP nomination, my wife fell into a blue funk that was so severe, it surprised me.

It was so deep, that the mere mention of the 2012 race could put her on an emotional roller coaster that brought actual tears. That's how invested she was in Sarah's potential candidacy.

A few days back, she asked me about the news she was seeing about a possible brokered Republican convention. She wanted to know how it worked, and whether that meant that Palin could possibly nominated that way. I quickly brought her up to speed on that, and the whole 'Palin earthquake movement'.

As I talked, I could see her skipping over all of the details and snagging the high points, but I'll tell you what. That blue funk she had has disappeared. The woman actually has some hope again.

Rebellion is brewing!!

Wouldn’t be much of a tea party rebellion if we surrender to the establishment and vote in business as usual, now would it?

Reagan and Gingrich led a successful revolution in the 80’s and 90’s and I say we can do it again. Only this time, we continue holding the majority and continue cutting government and continue restoring liberty!!

Never give in, never give up, never surrender!!
