With the year drawing rapidly to a close and so many quotes to chose among - serious and humorous, conservative and liberal, rabid media outbursts, Obama's choicest lies, the liberal chameleon Mitt Romney - what are your personal quote(s) of the year for 2011?

The quote may be comforting or disturbing, enlightening or confusing, endearing or maddening . . . but, c'mon, you know you have one.

I'm certain I'll pull many others out of the dusty closet of 2011 before I'm done, but let's be clear where our priorities are in Happy Valley, Pennsylvania:

“I think it’s fair to say the victims could be thinking to themselves right now that as a result of (my) coming forward, look what’s happened to this football program."

Attorney Ben Andreozzi, speaking of the concerns the Penn State sexual abuse victims may have at coming forward and causing the poor football program to suffer unpleasant media attention. Because we must have our priorities in the right place (reporting homosexual child rape vs. silence for the good of the football program), understood?

Other quotes from 2011? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I attempted to post it as a vanity. If I didn't, then I apologize. If I posted it as a vanity and you don't want to read them, then I apologize and humbly suggest you adjust your settings so that you don't see vanities.

Is "I attempted to post it as a vanity. If I didn't, then I apologize. If I posted it as a vanity and you don't want to read them, then I apologize and humbly suggest you adjust your settings so that you don't see vanities." your favorite quote? Guess I can assume it is.

The title of your original post was "WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE "QUOTES OF THE YEAR. I obviously didn't understand it's meaning, because I posted MY Favorite Quote of the Year, which was: "Why was this something that you thought we would care about or should know?”

Gee, when I joined Free Republic a while back, Jim Rob must have forgotten to tell me I couldn't reply to posts from Scoutmaster. Or, maybe I just wasn't listening close enough. Shame on me.
