Being that I’m the guy paying the bill, I do.

Indentured servitude is alive and well. A student graduates with the equivalent of a home-loan over their head. They may never have a positive net worth.

I’ve long maintained that a condition of student loans be that the recipient is enrolled in a course of study that is of value to society (i.e., business, science, math, engineering).

If someone elects to major in transgendered Aleutian folk music, fine—Just don’t expect US taxpayers to underwrite it.

It used to be that a liberal arts college degree was worth something because it taught the student how to think critically and logically. Those objectives were thrown out by the 60's radical professors, who turned colleges into indoctrination centers. Students were now rewarded for regurgitating their teachers' political views instead of questioning the reasoning behind them.

See my post #16. Most of the debt will be excused by the USG, which now runs the student loan programs. The law has already been passed as part of Obamacare.

I'm really P.O.ed at that. I paid off my loans, it was really tough at times and even had garnishments at one time. I went through Hell sometimes and the O-Hole now wants to forgive others for their debt. I can see extreme hardship cases but other than extreme bad luck, no way, if I had to pay, they should too.
