Its the Republican debate oops moment that just wont die. Texas Gov. Rick Perry got a few laughs during Sundays Meet the Press / Facebook debate, but this time he was in on the joke. Today, Perry named all three agencies that he thinks should be eliminated without any help from Ron Paul. Watch.
Commerce
Energy
Education

They’re just another puppet government, they don’t get a choice.
They’re STILL HERE...
omigosh, with their little tablets in their hands which say on one side that Perry is out of it and doesn’t have a chance, but say on the other side ...’Perry is still a possibility and while that possibility exists, we will try to take him down with our last breaths.’
I cannot believe these people.
Are there no Santorum threads?
Are there no Newt threads.
I know there are no Ron Paul threads so one chose to come
here.
Rick Perry was talking about just that (could have been a video of a townhall in Iowa) -- He said places like Yellowstone and the Everglades would be set aside but that America had over 300 years of energy to tap and that we needed to go get it. He also is not opposed to alternative energy (but not subsidized by the federal government).
The people of Iowa scored 10% on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills. :)
Newest SC Polling
1. Romney 30%
2a. Gingrich 23%
2b. Santorum 19%
3a. Paul 9%
3b. Perry 5%
2008 SC Results
1. Lib McLame 33%
2. Conservative Grassroots & Evangelical Favorite HUCK 30%
3. Spoiler Lazy Ass Thompson 15% (who also garnered a whopping 1% in NH, the same as Perry NOW)
Anyone seeing a pattern here?
Its obviously deja vu...
McLame = Willard
HUCK = Newt/Santorum combined
Lazy Fred = Texas Perry
...if you have a brain.
He was very good in the debate, I wish he had more questions.
The Iowa process is BS and loaded with Dems, everyone knows it.
23% of all the Iowa Caucus voters weren’t Republicans. 47% of the Ron Paul voters weren’t Republicans.
I got such a kick out of that this morning *grin*
Rick Perry seems to have a beautiful attitude about life. The ability to laugh at one’s self shows an inner confidence and wisdom. Everyone messes up at one time or another, the trick is to pick yourself up and move on.
It is just important that lands with nothing of great value to them be returned as well as those with exploitable resources. The federals have been actively pushing people off their land by denying them roads and access and water, which amounts to eminent domain without remuneration.
In addition, some candidates need to face the fact that despite the ego trip of ever expanding power to the office of the presidency, the president needs to work with a friendly congress to *diminish* presidential power by law. Removing those tools that have built up over the years by which a president takes power away from congress and the judiciary for his own use.
This would be a humbling experience for any candidate. To state that if elected, he wants less power than his predecessors.
An even better idea would be to sell the land to private owners and get it back on tax rolls. The govt. can use the money.
Romney=Massachusetts RINO, Paul=Crazy Racist, Perry=Sweet Empty Charm, Huntsman=Democrat, Santorum=The next VP, Newt Gingrich=The Perfect Choice : )
We could find twenty agencies to abolish starting with DHS.
That was a funny moment.
And you know it.
By “everyone,” I’m assuming you’re including Perry and his campaign team. If that’s the case, why spend time and money as part of the process? Especially if you’re an honest person with interity.
Because it is a media spectacle, and you have to get that facetime.
Did he go to town meetings or appear in debates and happily say that? An honest person full of joy (as the individual who posted this article stated) would have.
You are making a mountain of a mole hill.
