Rick Perry says he's going on to campaign in Florida's Jan. 31 Republican presidential primary - no matter how he fares in South Carolina.

Almost 1200 delegates needed to win the nomination.

Romney has 14. Newt and Perry have 2 apiece and Santorum has 8.

Let's all coalesce around the big spending social conservative or the unlikeable loudmouth lobbyist so Romney doesn't win!!

I hope Perry stays in until April where Texas gets to vote.

The rest of America isn't interested in hearing about minimum wage jobs held largely by illegals anymore than they are interested in a candidate that has yet to win a state primary, that won't win in SC and most certainly won't win in FL.

You certainly are the disinformation machine, aren't you?

Misfire: Romney Ad Targets Rick Perry's Jobs Record "I think it's safe to say the Romney campaign is going for the kill with its latest attack on Rick Perry. The former Massachusetts Governor has already gotten a fair amount of mileage out of attacking his Texan rival from the left on Social Security, and from the right on immigration, but this new spot strikes at the heart of the Perry campaign's raison detre -- jobs, jobs, jobs:

snip]

The spot's most striking image is a tumbleweed blowing along a deserted Texas highway. That's rich. It's intended to create the impression that Rick Perry's Texas is something of a depressed ghost town. Nothing could be further from the truth. Since the recession began, desperate job seekers have flocked to Texas at a clip of roughly 1,000 people per day. And they're finding work, too. Despite a huge population influx and a bruising national recession, Texas' unemployment rate remains below the national average. How remarkable has the Lone Star State's economic performance been? Read this Political Math analysis (written by a self-professed non Perry supporter), and marvel. One telling data point:

A President For Our Time---by Rebecca Winterowd

Wonder how many others that are in this race have songs written and sung for them as Rick Perry does?

Perry is my Gov. I like him as my Gov. He’s a good guy with good intentions ....I hope he withdraws and endorses Newt or Santorum quickly

Rick Perry is the only one with a record of rolling back government and creating jobs -- the "good intentions" executive running the 13th largest economy in the world... but you want him to endorse the big government central planners?

What do you do for a living?

No, this is what is so terrible about Romney HE CAN’T BEAT OBAMA. His records prove he is like Obama so Obama’s team will eat him alive. Romney also can’t take the heat from others attacking him. That’s why he pays other candidates to be his attack dogs as in Bachmann.

"The reason you went that way with it was you know I am right."

Yes, yes, of course...

Romney will run from one easy victory to the next... but in the end, we're all going to rise up and support a guy who got 1% in NH, 5% in his best state of SC, 2% in FL to be our nominee!...

The question is, what's the political payoff for Perry besides continuing on his fantasy road trip?

"You must be present to win."

Sorry, but from the beginning of his run, Rick has been a big disappointment to just about everyone, except you. See his latest poll numbers for verification.

Regardless, his latest statements about "vulture capitalism" expose him for the 2nd tier candidate and 3rd rate economic knucklehead he is. A true desperado.

The fact that the goverment of Texas functions as well as it does with him as Gov. says a lot for their "weak Governor" system.

I must say that he makes a nice figurehead, as long as you don't ask him too much.

You’ve been posting that same, tired old tripe for months now. No one is buying it, except the same crowd of Perrykrishnas. The “quirky” voters of Iowa and New Hampshire didn’t buy it and the soon to be Perry labeled “quirky” voters in SC aren’t buying it either.

So Santorum is not fiscally conservative and Newt is not socially conservative and neither are small government conservatives so I say Newt and Santorum do nothing to fix the problems in Washington and I for on would not support Santorum.

If you believe a word Newt says your willfully blind.

Give me a list of your viable conservatives.

To be viable you have to have a reasonable chance of winning the nomination. I see only two in that category: Newt and Santorum. Ron Paul is conservative on fiscal policy and dangerous on foreign policy. Perry just can't recover from his terrible early debate performances.

That leaves Romney of 25% fame and Huntsman. Not conservatives. No thanks.

Wow, you think CW is Rick Perry's only supporter. CW is one of his best, but by far his only one. There were people here since August 13 saying he should leave the race. This race is far from over. Far, far, from over.

BTW, Thanks CW.

“Romney will run from one easy victory to the next...”

Again, you make a totally unsupported statement, and list some made-up percentages that never happened, in order to avoid the question.

If the candidates, who represent the 80% of republican voters who are not for the liberal republican wing of the party, just all hang in all the way through to the national convention, as they owe their supporters to do now, Romney is stopped. They had the guts to do it in 1964, but back then the conservatives had actually taken civics in high school and understood how the convention system is supposed work.

Perry staying in despite having no chance to win is “insurance” for Romney, no doubt.

Last week I was put out with Perry over the "vulture capitalism" dust up but he redeemed himself this am on CNN.

Crowley tried to corner him over the four marines, horror of horrors, urinating on those dead Taliban.

Perry told her they are young men and these kinds of things happen. He pointed out there is a photo of Patton urinating in the Rhine river and reports Churchill did the same thing.

Perry said he would be OK with a reprimand but the Obama administration wants to charge them with a crime and he's opposed to that.

Go, Rick Perry, this guy would be our best president.

Why on earth would those "evangelicals" endorse Santorum? Why? Santorum was good on life issues but Perry has defunded Planned Parenthood and just this week, a bill signed by Perry requiring a woman have a sonogram before an abortion was upheld.

Perry has proven his commitment to protecting life and he's a proven conservative. Santorum is no conservative--just look at his voting record.
