We will able to tell how afraid the other candidates are of Newt because they will avoid mentioning his name to give a rebuttal response.

This is one of the tricks they have been using all along

Willard the Lib with his partner in crime, Teddy Kennedy gave us $50 abortions and the public option under RomneyCare’s mandates, exchanges, and subsidies.

Even Obama the Lib didn’t go THAT far.

Electing Willard will only set back conservatism by decades.

“It’s been disgusting to see them fighting amongst themselves instead of taking on Obamney”

They are being manipulated by the media and they also don’t want to look racist by attacking obama

Thanks for the thread, I am beginning to hate Fox, the all Romney all the time network.

No need to watch it, Romney won. Romney is already picked by the GOP as the nomination and nothing will change that. All the media including Fox is burying Newt.

Also, Newt is known to stray a little from the moderators question to do just that

Gingrich generally does that in order to frame his answer based on contextual historical facts. The others just prattle on with little or nothing to substantiate their responses.

One very simple example is the following video clip when an MSNBC reporter interviewed Gingrich and made an unsubstantiated comment regarding Palin:

.

Newt Gingrich destroys MSNBC reporter

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsUw2Vq8UMw&feature=related

.

Could anyone else, including Palin herself, respond as simply, factually, and succinctly as Gingrich did in the above clip? And turn the tables on the foolish reporter who was incapable of answering Gingrich's question at the end of the interview?

This is why Gingrich can defeat Obama (with or without his teleprompter).

FOX on trial tonight.

Fox has lost me. They are no longer fair and balanced and Romney is clearly their choice.

I agree. I would bet my bank account right now, double or nothing, that Romney “wins” the debate tonight. Who will call it, Wallace or Rove?

Also, if your post is being “processed”, there is always a little wheel moving under “posting comment” in the upper left hand corner.
So patience...sometimes it takes a while.

They most definitely should not unite against Mitt. They need to take each other out. No matter how many points they shave off Mitt as long as there are 4 of them left standing at the end of the night Mitt wins. Newt needs to make the case to the voters why they need to call and email Santorum and Perry and ask them to drop out and endorse Newt before the vote next week. I can’t see any other way that Mitt doesn’t wrap this up in 2 weeks. Unless Ron Paul (who will never quit) polls 50% against Romney 1 on 1 and I don’t see that in my crystal ball.

Someone remind me - how many delegates have been won? Hundreds? I don’t think so.

Fie on all who are immaculating Romney.

Santorum: This is the kind of outright lies and the hypocrisy that Gov. Romney is engaged in, not just with Newt Gingrich now but with anybody who stands in his way. You can get away with it, obviously, if you’ve got millions of dollars to spend and you go out there lying and people don’t hold you accountable. Well, we are. And let me assure you that everybody else in this race is going to start to do the same

Looks like Santorum has dropped the 'Mr. Nice Guy' gloves .... lets hope he, Newt, & even Perry can get some traction against Romney. Prefer they go after Obama, but if the GOP insists on running "Obama-lite" against Obama, the incumbent wins.

2012: MItt Romney vs. Barack Obama

Just vote for the lesser of the two evils.

2016: Howard Dean vs. Barney Frank

Just vote for the lesser of the two evils.

2020: Cynthia McKinney vs. Larry Flynt

Just vote for the lesser of the two evils.

2024: Kim Jong-un vs. Ayman Al-Zawahiri

Just vote for the lesser of the two evils.

Pay no attention to the general trend. You have a nice seat in the handbasket. Just keep repeating: “Cesspools are our friends.”

These three (Perry, Newt, Santorum) should sit down together and make their peace. Only one enemy tonight.

Perry has nothing to lose. I say he asks Romney straight up how he's supposed to repeal Obamacare when it's modeled after Romneycare.

Then Perry should hit Romney on job creation. 100k next to how many for Perry & TX?

People are buying into the entrepreneur/business crap from Romney, that he can bring the jobs. Stop the madness.

I have been expecting Newt to totally ignore the asked questions and simply say what needs saying.

Perhaps tonight is the night for it.

Throw a little Lincoln/Douglass out there.

What can they do? drag him off the stage, stop the show, scream and shout.
