Rubios natural born citizen status is murky. His natural born status is as clear as that of PRESIDENT Chester A. Arthur, the son of immigrants who were still British citizens at the time of his birth.

Rubio's parents only needed to be US citizens on the day of his birth (on US soil) for him to qualify as a Natural Born Citizen. Wrong. Rubio only needed to be born in the USA like PRESIDENT Chester A. Arthur whose parents were still British citizens at the time of his birth.

I like ‘em both, but for VP, I’ll take West over Palin.

Though the thought of West being VP under any POTUS makes my leg tingle .... I do find it interesting timing being Florida primary is 10 days away
I guess that’s the nature of politics
I hope Newt is serious and not just tossing red meat

I hope this was not moved to bloggers because of the comments I have seen on other threads of Palin as Gingriches VP.I am really sick of people speaking for Palin like they are her campaign managers. It is old and tiring but the very people also said Palin would NEVER settle for ANYTHING but POTUS and now it seems that Palin as VP is suddenly okay.

I can see West or Scott Walker. Scott Walker is doing the right thing. We need strong leaders who will help America.; not just win; but back up what they are saying.

Bolton’s endorsement of Willard didn’t surprise me. He’s a
a George W. Bush establishment type. He goes with the one that boys in Washington want. Nikki Haley’s endorsement was bought for $35,000. Guess she needed to buy herself a new ocean front Condo and needed a downpayment. She has no integrity whatsoever and is a one and done governor.

I think she secretly voted for Obama 4 years ago.My daughter voted for Obama and so did a whole lot of reasonable folks that I know. They wanted to be on the "correct" side of history for their grandchildren I think. But they won't be voting for him again, none of them. I don't hold that vote against any of them, least of all my kid. Between Condi and West, Condi meets the electability criteria far more than the hero and I'm just speaking of politics here.

I would pick Kasich for the Sec. of the Treasury. West would galvanize the moderates and Black vote. West is very Conservative, but has a unique appeal to the moderates and Independents. He would even attract some of the Paul fanatics away from the crazy old, senile man.

West has made several rookie errors during his short tenure in Congress. His vote to increase the debt limit is a big one. His vote against King's amendment to block Pigford funds and the FDA Appropriations bill are two more that come to mind. Also, he has discontinued his weekly activity report, which only lasted a few weeks into his term; the last one I recall receiving was the one where he apologized for his rookie mistakes. He needs to spend less time jacking his jaw on Fox News and more on intelligently representing his constituents.

Allen West would be a great VP. If I were Gingrich I would have Allen West as Vice President but directly over the Secretary of Defense. West knows what the military needs and equally important knows what the Military does not need.

You don’t really believe he would ever truly consider West, do you?
If Gingrich thought Lindsey Graham would have gotten him votes in SC he would have said the same thing about him before SC.

Rubio only needed to be born in the USA like PRESIDENT Chester A. Arthur whose parents were still British citizens at the time of his birth. Natural Born Citizen as understood by the Framers: born on US soil to two US citizen parents.
And no, I'm not interested in arguing with you about it 'til the cows come home.

Nearly two centuries of electoral and judicial precedent render your natural born citizen cult delusional and idiotic.

Your are correct but then I have a lot of fun ribbing my older brother that hes not a Natural Born Citizen because our dad, who came here from Norway when he was about 8 years old didnt complete his naturalization until a couple of years after my brother was born but several years before I was born ; ).
Interestingly my dad was not a citizen when WWII started. The day after Pearl Harbor he tried to enlist but was turned down because he wasnt a citizen, yet about a year later, he got drafted.
In the early 50s when he appeared before the judge for his citizenship swearing in, the judge told him that it was only a formality as when he took the oath when inducted into the Army he was basically taking the citizenship oath. That and he told my dad that his distinguished war record proved he earned his citizenship.
But still, I like reminding my brother that according to some, hes not natural and could never be President were as I could (as if that was the only reason LOL!)
