In hiring Madonna, the NFL know what they are getting:

The women famous for being arrested for masturbating on a bed in front of all her once teenaged fans, desecrating and using the crucifix as a sexual prop and of course the lesbian kiss seen around the world on national television with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

My "exposé" is meant to bring the rightful shame to the NFL & Goodell as they TARGET children...

Oh dear, we’re totally behind the times here. Madonna has remade herself as a respectable matron.

I have to wonder what idiot even suggest Madonna at the Super Bowl? Does anyone really believe Madonna appeals to football fans? It’s like getting Snoop Dogg or 50 Cent to perform at the CMAs. Madonna is the last “artist” I’d get to do the Super Bowl.

Hey, they’re being taught this stuff in school and government programs and it’s already all over on TV. Heck, even some churches push this kind of thing. What could possibly be wrong?

Folks, kill your TV (who cares about pimps and thugs chasing a ball around?) and get your kiddies out of the publik skoolz. Do that and start getting involved with your family and teach them what YOU believe by modeling it. Discover the world by actually interacting with it instead of watching. A brave, new world is out there and it ain’t the one Huxley envisioned.

Do tell, I’d bet that, given a choice a majority of us would be happy to live in Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World.

Unfortunately, all such attempts at a real-life utopia have ended in poverty, squalor and mass murder.

She can come out buck naked and perform human sacrifice for all I care - I WON’T BE WATCHING.

She has nothing to say, show, or do that I have even the most remote interest in. As matter of fact, I have someplace to go on Sunday. Once upon a time I would have rushed home to watch every minute of the Superbowl and the pregame stuff. Now, if I happen to be home while it’s still on, I might watch some of it. If I miss it all I couldn’t care less.

Yep. All the more reason to unplug the tentacle and start living life. Let the dead bury the dead.

Here’s an idea...if you HAVE to watch the Super Bowl because you buy into all the hype about commercials and all that, THEN TURN OFF the TV during the half time show. As for me, I plan on reading a good book or maybe checking out FR!!
I know some people (some guys) do watch it for the football!

The last Super Bowl I watched was the second San Francisco-Cincinnati game.

“The last Super Bowl I watched was the second San Francisco-Cincinnati game.”

I doubt we’ll watch; it’s always the same teams playing. Patriots, Steelers, whoever.....we’ll get excited when our Carolina Panthers get there one year. (Yes, I know, LOL).

Either way, forget that nasty halftime show. Puppy Bowl, here I come.

If I had a dog in this years hunt I would be watching but as usual, due to the crap shown, I would turn off the half time show...what is the point of that to begin with?

Several years ago when my son was younger, we turned the channel during half time and starting watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. My son turns 21 this year and for the past 2 or 3 years, he and his buddies have gotten together to watch the Super Bowl at our house and almost always ended up turning the channel to watch the Puppy Bowl and it was so good, they never realized they had not turned the channel back to the game! As a parent I was very happy I could leave the channel on and walk away not having to worry about which boob my son was watching! This year, with my son off at college and not coming home for the game, my husband and I have already checked out the Puppy Bowl starting line up on line and are more excited about a puppy show than a football game! How sad has that "super" bowl become when two die hard football fans would rather watch dogs play ball!! I must be getting old

I may be in the minority, but I believe that football games, Super Bowls included, should feature marching bands for their halftime shows.

Super Bowl I Halftime Show, 1967. Note the size of the crowd. USC's Mudd Tower can be seen in the background to the right, and the LA County Natural History Museum is to the left.

People think its a game, its a business. The NFL manipulates their product to increase their revenues. They like to see the big market teams in the playoffs and superbowl, they make more money.

5 seconds of play, 25 seconds of drivel, and 3 minutes of commercial is the average NFL game

Could care less, won't be watching anyway. This is one of the most snoozefest matchups in years. Basically yet another in a long line of local New Yawk - Bawston rivalries. Yankees, Red Sox, Giants, Patriots. ZZZZZZZzzzzzzz. I could care less.

Maybe they'll get ratings outside the local New Yawk - Bawston market, maybe not. Plus I can't stand that arrogant jerk Brady, I'm sick & tired of seeing the Pats in post season, and I don't care for New Yawk teams either, just because they have the MOST obnoxious fans on earth.

So, whether MaSlutta is playing at halftime or not really doesn't matter to me.

As much as I hate his politics, wouldn’t Mr. Indiana, John Cougar Melloncamp, have been the appropriate halftime show?

Should we go next door to the welfare mom’s house and shut off their tv also so her 5 kids won’t watch Madonna and grow up to think that she and her values are the norm?

I dont think they are all that concerned about football fans enjoying the halftime show. NSync and Britney Spears with Aerosmith? The Black Eyed Peas? New Kids on the Block? Gloria Estefan (2x)? Phil Collins? I dont think of football when I see those names.

Here’s a thought.....I know it’s really radical and out there...

Maybe the children parents can supervise what their children watch on TV during the super bowl !

I know....I know radical concept !
