Criticism of President Dangerous, Says Jackson
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 4 Feb 2012 | John Semmens

Posted on 02/07/2012 9:36:55 AM PST by John Semmens

Former presidential candidate Reverend Jesse Jackson averred that criticism of President Obama has gotten dangerously out of hand.

“The constant barrage of right-wing criticism leveled at the president by his enemies has reached unacceptably perilous magnitude,” Jackson insisted. “When a governor is allowed to point her finger at him or a member of Congress is permitted to get away with calling him a liar we must acknowledge that rhetoric has gone too far.”

Jackson cited history to bolster his concern. “President John Kennedy was vilified by right-wingers,” Jackson asserted. “This created an atmosphere conducive to violence. The next we knew, he was shot and killed. We must do what we can to eliminate today’s attacks on President Obama before the same thing happens to him.”

The role that any so-called right-wing criticism of Kennedy’s policies might have played in his assassination is unclear. Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who shot Kennedy, was a communist sympathizer whose grievance against the President appeared related to Kennedy’s opposition to Cuba’s communist regime.

Oh please. What Jackson actually means to say is that criticism of a black President is dangerous.

He had no problem raising the heat and level of vitriol against GWB.

“...or a member of Congress is permitted to get away with calling him a liar”

What if its true?

from ‘moonbatterydotcom’:

“The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced on Tuesday that it has awarded $28.8 million to 67 community health centers with funds from the Obamacare health reform law.

Of that $28.8 million, “approximately $8.5 million will be used by 25 New Access Point awardees to target services to migrant and seasonal farm workers,” Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Spokeswoman Judy Andrews told CNSNews.com. HRSA is a part of HHS.

Andrews said that grant recipients will not check the immigration status of people seeking services.

According to the Pew Hispanic Center, illegal immigrants make up an estimated 25 percent of all migrant farm workers, with disproportionate amounts residing in California, Texas, Florida, and Georgia.”

Will the Reverand still let Wilson ‘get away’ with making a truthful statement? Or is that racist?

NO comment John as I saw who the author was prior to reading the article by Jackson when it was published, and skipped reading it as I consider anything out of his head as a waste of my valuable time, therefore it’s better said that I can’t comment.

I’m certain though what you wrote here is still the best semi-news, semi-satire around.

But Jesse...you were caught on an open microphone right after obama was elected saying the wasn't a "true African American" because he had "no slave blood" (a charge that obama was not born in America?). And something to the effect that you'd like to "cut his balls off".

Jesse Jackson is yesterday's news.

More of the liberal "ok for me, not for thee" bullcrap.

Hello? He’s that fragile that a pointed finger is dangerous to him? He’d better resign now, before someone brandishes some fruit...

I'm with you. These days, it's hard enough to tell real news from real satire (I've been sucked in on more than a few occasions.)

Trying to figure out what's "semi-news" and "semi-satire" is just an impossible task, one that I fear can lead a lot of conservatives to spout John's writings as being true when they're not.

That can only serve to put egg on the face of conservative credibility.

When a governor has to point her finger at a president who flies into her state to bully her, things have gone too far. When bishops have to order priests to announce from the pulpit that a church cannot obey an unconstitutional law, things have gone way, way too far.

The First Amendment, and the entire Bill of Rights, was added to the Constitution despite the understanding of the framers that those rights were already protected in the basic document. And despite fears that any explicit Bill of Rights would be treated as a ceiling, rather than a floor, on the rights of the people.

And here we have a government presuming to order a church to violate its principles, just because.

Yes, calling Bush a baby killer was not inflammatory or anything.

What Jesse needs to understand is that we don’t have a king in the USA. The president is elected by the folks. He works for us. We have every right to criticize him and the Governor of a sovereign state certainly doesn’t have to stand like a schoolgirl and take a verbal spanking. This guy is beyond arrogant. Respect works two ways.

Have you ever seen the pictures of Jesse at the scene with blood on his shirt?

He put it there. He was no where near Rev. King at the time of the shooting.
