A good checklist for all preppers.

Check you BOB often. Don't keep batteries in devices! Use what you store! Store what you use!

I promise some on a thread on this subject.

Something I've been wanting to bring up on the prepper threads while I'm thinking about it.

Canteens and canteen cups. No prepper or survivalist should be without them. Handy as a pocket on a shirt for your BOB when SHTF. You can usually get them at military surplus stores, flea markets or online.

I learned from the National Geographic program "Doomsday Preppers' last night that I can get aspirin from my Willow tree. Neat.

Man, I just found something cool the other day.

You can take a metal office supply cabinet and make it into a faraday cage for EMP protection. Your mention of storing batteries made me remember it.

Keep your emergency electronic stuff in an office supply cabinet, and have it protected from EMP. (Make sure to ground the thing properly)
