Unduly Provocative
Noman Says ^ | 2/13/12 | Noman

I know that President Obama is cool, and everybody just loves him personally. But, does it ever seem as if he's going out of his way to poke his finger in your eye? Not that you'd mind, of course.

Well, it turns out you're most probably right. Rule for Radicals #10 (no, I'm not joking) is "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition."

The dark lord of discord, Saul Alinsky, explains:

[quote] It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign. It should be remembered not only that the action is in the reaction but that action is itself the consequence of reaction and of reaction to the reaction, ad inifinitum. the pressure produces the reaction, and constant pressure sustains action. (Ch. 7, p. 129). [end quote]

He expounds on this theme in different variations, and summarizes shortly thereafter in three bullet points (p. 136):

[quote] -The real action is in the enemy's reaction. -The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength -Tactics, like organization, like life require that you move with the action. [quote]

Aren't you happy to know that your President is schooled in this stuff, and that he's on more than one campaign: a political one to retain power, and an ideological one, Antonio Gramsci's final long march through the institutions of Ronald Reagan's last, best hope of man on earth? I thought so.

So, how are we to react? Let me suggest by voting him and his Party out of office in November before this whole thing blows from excessive pressure.

There is nothing likable about him. His very face offends my sensibilities. Only a small and foolish individual would find him likeable. His smile is not even appreciable.

“I know that President Obama is cool, and everybody just loves him personally.” Not true. I despise him.

Arrogant, abrasive, juvenile & thin skinned - whats not to like?

I don't even think those who's pockets he fills likes him.

Samuel L Jackson may be the only guy in the country who likes him.

I’ve remember meeting him on the rope line when he was campaigning, he seemed like a nice guy at the time. Of course, he didn’t have power then.

Pretty much all the Great Villains of history had the ability to charm the birds from the trees when they felt it was in their interests to do so.

Obama is the sort of man who can project the right image in public but behind closed doors (or upon repeated exposure) his true nature comes through.

In fact, it can be even more obvious on repeated viewings. If you watch his speeches and you’re looking for it, the falseness, coldness, and arrogance start to come through.

All well and good... until the shooting starts. Once civil society is shattered your Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” becomes inoperative. Victory goes to the better armed & motivated.

I was being ironic. We’re repeatedly told that he must not be attacked because the American people like him personally. As if they know him personally.

To be clear, I think he’s a fraud, a trojan horse. It’s worse than I don’t like him, which is not the apposite sentiment. I don’t respect him because everything he shows me is puerile, ideological, wrong-headed and harmful to the country.

He’s taken a very stupid idea about America and what the world needs for it become, and executed it better, to worse affect, than anyone in my lifetime. He’s still getting away with it because of his je ne sais quoi.

It doesn’t work on me, but it does on somebody, and enough of them to keep things from crashing in on his head.
