A poll taken Feb 1 5 shows that by a 58/ 37 margin Catholics support a government mandate requiring all employers who provide health care plans for their workers to include abortion and/or birth control coverage at no cost.
Nevertheless, in spite of this 21 point edge some high profile Catholic Democrats are walking away from Obama on this issue.
This begs an important question: Why would these CINO (Catholic In Name Only) abortion supporting Democrats be afraid to stand with Obama ? The PROOF that Catholics DONT care is right there in black and white! Its twenty one points isnt it? That should be game set match! no? Well, no.
The truth is that polling companies consistently hide the truth about the Catholic vote. They never admit there are actually two Catholic votes.
One measures the sentiments of anyone who says he/she is a Catholic even those who have NEVER voluntarily walked into a Catholic church. These CINOs make up about 2/3 of Americas 70 million Catholics.
The remaining 1/3 are the real Catholics. They attend Mass regularly and try to follow Church rules. Real Catholics dont reflexively vote Democrat.
In 2008 real Catholics voted for John McCain 50/49 a slim margin...

I am the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council at the largest Parish in the Archdiocese of Boston. We have not been polled. You would think the largest Parish in the middle of Liberal land would make a good sample.
This article really focuses on the often neglected fact that many so-called Catholics have no affiliation with the church past baptism.
I know one CINO who is a full blown progressive, and she’s told me numerous times that “nobody can seriously believe Jesus is God”, and that he was simply a “nice teacher”.
CINOs like that are a lost cause.
Leopard - spots.
If we lose again, we’ll have Rome/the Vatican/the pope/the RCC/the infamous “global authority” agenda to thank...again.
The ones I know do and they attend mass faithfully weekly, and more if the opportunity arises, are active in their local parishes, etc, and STILL vote dem because "democrats are for the poor" (direct word for word quote)
Whatever happened to Obama’s Executive Order saying ObamaCare would not fund abortions? You know, the arm twisting tactic he used to persude congress to pass it. Why is that no longer talked about?
You can ditto this for Baptist. In my town half the population claims membership in the local Baptist mega-church even though most of them couldn’t find the church building.
But then “Christian” means very little also.
I am not Catholic, just catholic, I have great respect for the faithful Catholics that I know but I despise the CINOs.
Yep, I mentioned to a "Catholic" acquaintance that i was going to a Basilica where there was a special "Stations of the Cross" and he looked at me like I was from Newt's moon colony.
He claims to be a Catholic but every time there is a discussion, he refers to the Pope as that &^&(&$#@@@##. Enuff said.
The fact is that this country is not operated by polls, it's the constitution that we go by. The church has a lot of influence including a majority of the supreme court justices.
The administration and the church are now involved in a dispute over a core principle for both sides. With the assistance of the rest of the Christian community I believe the church will ultimately prevail.
Catholics are mostly democrats so I don't see how Obama can win this battle.
Obamacare isn’t funding abortions. Those who pay the insurance premiums are the ones funding abortions.
A non-distinction not lost on the MSM so it, of course, isn’t discussed.
http://deaconforlife.blogspot.com/2012/02/vortex-obama-gamble.htmlThis is the only link I could find to this particular "Vortex" bit by Michael Voris that didn't have an ad, some sort of log in required and so on. There are probably others, but this is OK as far as I can tell. At any rate, I think what the guy says is well worth listening to on this issue. He makes some good points.
As for CINOs, I stated in another thread that the only Catholics I knew until recently never went to Church for anything. Not even Christmas and Easter. It seems they didn't want to say they weren't religious or something, because they were baptized Catholic as children but haven't been inside a Catholic Church since their parents quit making them go.
Anything that claims to reflect what Catholics believe and even includes folks who haven't been to a Catholic Church since they were teenagers is a deliberate lie from beginning to end. The same is true for Evangelicals, Baptists, and any other group that these polls pretend to have surveyed. They carefully pick a sample they like and then get the result they want. They could survey a lot of folks I know who say they're Baptist but never go go church and what would they have? They'd have a lot of former Baptists at best.
Good for you.... I have been hoping and praying for years that my husband would someday become a Knight of Columbus. You guys are AWESOME!
No one is a lost cause. You should really pray for that person and have some masses offered up for her. I just found out a relative of mine is a hard core feminist, pro- abort and pro-gay. It makes me so sad when I read her FB posts. She even came onto my page and started a fight with me. I am now praying very hard for her soul (and mine too).
