Chris Matthews appeared at Ford's Theater in Washington D.C., Monday, for a President's Day panel and sneered that Catholics are attracting bigots. While talking about Richard Nixon, the so-called Southern Strategy and racism, the Hardball host berated, "If you're really anti-gay, you become a Catholic now."
At a question and answer session after the event, I confronted him about the quote and asked him if he wished to "expand or apologize." He spat back, "I'm saying that some people who are bigoted against gay people have changed religions. Yes. You got it right." [MP3 audio here.]
Matthews added, "I think there are people who have chosen to convert to the Catholic faith because they don't like the liberal positions taken by their sectarian groups. That's a fact. So, you can write that down. No, you can write that down."
At the start of the exchange, I identified myself as with the Media Research Center. Matthews prompted me to explain what the organization does. I did and he visibly sighed and looked irritated.
The liberal Washington crowd repeatedly laughed at the mention of media bias....

As if being “pro-gay” is the norm, and anyone who opposes the gay agenda is abnormal.
What do you “become” “if you’re really Pro-Gay”, Chrissy?

What he’s really mad about is people leaving their liberal denominations for a denomination they percieve as more in line with the Bible. It’s a matter of Christian integrity not bigotry.

After all, there is medical evidence to show that alcoholics have a genetic predisposition. Unlike the homosexuals.
And even if a medical reason were found, it does not give them an excuse for their behavior any more than it does for the alcoholic to go through life drunk and disorderly.
I’m going to restate my above post by rephrasing the title quote:
“If you’re really anti-Christian, you become pro-gay now”
Chris Matthews was replaced by an orange traffic cone. The traffic cone was smarter and nicer to people.
However, the Koran and Sharia law require the death penalty for being openly homosexual and most Muslim countries enforce it.
Why “now”? Has the Church’s teaching on homosexuality changed lately?
Chris Matthews, you should book the Coloseum and get the lions ready for the neo-Catholic feast!

There is no objective way to identify a “gay” person, except by the act of sodomy.
AFAIK, God is pretty much against it, which puts the Catholic Church on the right side, regarding the morality of this behavior.
Of course, God and His Church urge repentance, which results in forgiveness.

Anti-gay means that you find it abhorrant, immoral and a mortal sin for a man to shove his penis into another man’s anus.
I honestly believe that AIDS is contracted by this satan’s excuse for love-making when one of the partners in this evil and untidy practice ingests fecal matter as he shoves his mouth where the sun never shines!
Sex between those of the same sex is as evil as a man having sex with an animal. In the case of homosexuality both partners are animals.
There is nothing right with homosexual behavior. Their attempts to spread it around and make it legitimate can never work. Practioners are anti-Christian and anti-Jew.
The one religion where homosexuality and pedophilia blossoms is Islam.
