Why is Glee So Gay?

Okay, so I’m a sucker for show tunes and glam rock.

Yes, I enjoy the amazing talent of Idina Menzel in the Broadway hit “Wicked.” Absolutely, I am left awestruck after hearing the wonderful scores of Claude-Michel Schönberg in “Les Mis.” And let’s not even dispute the fact that Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, along with the rest of the folks in Fleetwood Mac are actually seraphim sent from the very throne of God to give us the eleventh commandment, which is “don’t stop thinking about tomorrow.”

If all of that makes me less of a man, then men need to do some serious introspecting.

So when Glee, the show that perfectly captures what it is like to go to high school in the Midwest (on another planet) hit the airwaves, 12 year old girls swooned, high school Glee Club members rejoiced, and music fans like me now had to try to figure out how we could get away from our friends for an hour a week, with the doors locked and the blinds pulled, to indulge in a little “show tunage” without them really knowing we were watching Glee.

My 22 year old daughter watches this show. I have no idea what she gets out of it as I have never seen it and never will.

I cancelled my cable 2 months ago and don’t miss it at all.

I train a teenage boy as one of my clients. It turns out he loves watching Glee with his parents and he doesn’t have a girlfriend.

Tell me he doesn’t sound a bit gay. And that’s how the homosexual agenda works. =( They normalize their perversion and make you expect it as if its normal.

Glee is an awful show I can’t help but /SMH at every time I pass it by while channel surfing.

I took his advice and did some serious introspecting.........what are some of the indicators of homosexuality?.....like the tunes from OKLAHOMA?......not necessarily gay......let Barney Frank ride you like the plastic pony in front of the grocery store......I’d say that would definitely make you gay......just my opinion....

My 23 year old daughter who has done some theater stopped by the other night and wanted to watch Glee. I've only watched bits and pieces before, but after watching one whole episode it was obvious that it's main theme is the promotion of accepting gay as "normal". After talking with her about that, I had to admit to myself that I too was being pulled into the deception by a couple of shows that I watch regularly. ABC's The Middle, with the gay friend of the daughter, Modern Family with the gay couple with an adopted child, and Happy Endings with the gay friend in the main cast group all are either subtley or directly pushing the "gay is normal" agenda. I have been reflecting on my watching habits since. It is very easy to become the frog in the slowly heated pot.

Pretty much describes it in Reality.. self-identification issues: being overweight, single parent, pregnancy issues, physically challenged, the geek..etc.. Not so much about the football player and the cheerleader anymore "the popular kids". But they were out partying, having sex, overdosing on socially accepted stimulants. The Glee kids were always there; but no one really talked about as having worth in society. Some of them might be described as misfits that didnt get invited to those popular parties; but were gifted with musical talent. All kids just want to get through high school school, college and/or on to a career.
