From A German Carnival Float
Oh, how I wish people online would learn the proper way to make nouns plural.
Is “got it Right” something the Germans possess?
Great pic!
Maybe it’s a contraction for “The German has got it right”.
That sentence is correct when read as containing a contraction.
I’d imagine that an individual German is capable of having created the parade float in question
A Trojan Unicorn? Nonononononono.......If that was meant to depict a unicorn, the horn would be up achme...acme....akmi....Skippy’s donkey.
great find, there’s more of those beauties here:

Sorry guys, I read his use of the apostrophe to show a contraction and not to imply possession. That is, a contraction of the INFORMAL sentence “The German has got it right.”
We probably have better things to do then spend time critiquing our fellow FReepers’ grammar.
yes, but the pic is more important than the grammar.
It’s actually sort of silly to have assumed that a single parade float in one German burg should be construed as somehow being representative of Germans as a whole.
So, ti’s a contraction. Logic so dictates, lol.
LOL. True. Just chain yanking :)
Obama portrayed as a cowboy. How humiliating.

Check out this years Hitler float. I don't think I can post it online.
That bug’s me too—when people put apostrophe’s in the wrong place’s. I see it all the time.
So there was only one German who built the float? Come on!
You imagination is very active.
hummmmm Interesting. I am trying to remember the last time I heard about an anti German parade float in the US....... I guess that would be NEVER!
Thank you. Yours is rather limited, lol.
I just wish they hadn’t insulted cowboys by depicting the Illegal as one, instead of the animated subhuman turd he is.
Shouldn’t Achmed and Barry be at the other end of the horse ?

The "Islamicization" floats are going to create a commotion, though:
Who is “Right”?
My imagination is not “rather limited”. It’s just moored to reality.
Just, wow, great post!
U’sing parade float’s a’s a political expre’s’sion? Who knew?
I’m with you Vlad.
Precision counts (not count’s) and separates us from the DUfuses and eubonicists.
Sometimes, being too tightly wrapped comes across as more stultifying and prickly than realistic, vladi.
Just sayin’
They would never have treated Hitler that way!
There are some great political satirists putting those floats together, and the craftsmanship is beautiful. It’s enough to make me overlook a few peculiarities, like Saguaro cactii in the Middle East, and viewing Obama as a cowboy.
Then don’t be tightly wrapped. But your imagination should be connected to reality - otherwise it’s just useless.
Just drop the controlling crap, vlad, and enjoy the thread if you’re capable. The Grammagesterium is no longer in session.
You seem very tightly wound. Use your imagination to further detach yourself from reality, and I’m sure everything will be fine.
Im actually about to imagine using apostrophe’s incorrectly across the board, so I can envision steam blowing out your ear’s, vladi.
So you believe if you write something incorrectly “across the board” - and thereby make yourself appear stupid - that it will make me mad? Feel free.
Appearance’s can be deceiving sometime’s a’s you well know, vladi.
Its just one of them thang’s, lol.
Babelfish wont help much with that, sorry.
Thanks for proving my point.
... and thank’s to you, for proving mine, lol.
Theres a whole world filled with misused apostrophe’s, get cracking.
Thanks!! Emailed this on. Hope it goes viral.
They replaced Bush’s head with Barack’s. Those thrifty Germans.
No its singular
There’s a whole world of stupid people. You’re fitting in just fine.
Oh, dear. Thomas Malthus, is that you?
And again.
I thought it was Obama and company that popped out of a Trojan Horse...
Na, und?
And again.
Then the sentence structure is unwieldy. It would have been more easily understood if it were written as, "This German's Got It Right".
