A "Bag of Rocks" may Beat Obama - but Romney Won't.

It has become popular in pundit circles to tritely assert that “a bag of rocks could beat Obama in 2012.” If that is the case, than let’s run the damned bag of rocks.

I would sooner vote for the bag of rocks than I would for Mitt Romney. Furthermore, if Romney wins the nomination and a credible third party conservative does not come to fruition, we may have to write it in.

If we ran someone against Obama who had the moral high-ground to challenge him on his destructive polices – our victory would be close to inevitable.

There's a reason why David Axelrod and every Democrat pundit engage in the following talking points: (continued)

Why did we not nominate a bag of rocks? Where are all the conservatives? The idea that the US is a center-right nation is I think completely wrong. It’s a radical left nation.

A "Bag of Rocks" may Beat Obama - but Romney Won't.

Especially if all the other Mormon-haters sit home.

A bag of rocks beats Obama?

Personally, I think that is worse than targeting him for defeat in the election.

I agree with this. We give ourself false comfort by pointing to polls taht say 40% conservative, 40% moderate and 20% liberals. In reality, 40% of those moderates are actually liberals. So its 40% conservative and 60% liberals. This make more sense to me than saying 20% of population are Liberal. Everywhere I go, I feel like a minority than majority

OK, this post is directed at Romney’s electablity, his viability as a candidate, and whether he is “worse than a bag of rocks” as a candidate.

Unlike many here I actually watch the candidates, just watched some of Romney on Fox in Huckabee’s forum on jobs (until it was time to switch to Celebrity Apprentice).

I know I’m not supposed to believe my lying eyes but Romney is attractive, calm, my wife said “Reaganesque”. he is non threatening and that is important because like Reagan you need to put people at ease that you are stable enough to become president. His message is 100% conservative, and he doesn’t take any crap from the questioners.

Exhibit A: Who was the candidate who brushed off Stephanopolus’s opening shot of this whole made up contraceptive issue? Romney laughed him off, mocked the question, and has never had to look back.

No reason to think Romney is a weak candidate. Just ask the other republican candidates. If I’m wrong, all they have to do is beat him.

Mitten will beat Obama in a close race—unless there is a 3rd Ross Perot type Party. Who to run this bid? Trump and Sarah will not—Even Ron Paul isn’t that stupid. Who? Glen Beck? The Democrats will put together a party in hopes of draining off Tea Party votes from the GOP. Who do you see as the only 3rd Party person who could beat Obama????

Doesn’t it matter that everything Mutt says is a lie?

This is the mantra, that it doesn’t matter what Romney says. Well it does. Not everyone in the country proceeds with a near religious belief that Romney is a liar.

However if he is a liar I know Obama is a liar, and somebody is going to win this election.

I’m just handicapping the election. Romney appears to be a formidable candidate. I’d be very happy with Santorum as president, but his speeches often are weak. I’ll support the nominee.

It is hardly a belief. It has been proven ad-nauseum that Mutt has lied about almost everything he has ever done. If that doesn’t bother you then vote for him. Just don’t lie to yourself about it.

I’m not lying to myself you just keep repeating the same thing as a zealot. That is not the analysis that will play out here.

“Romney appears to be a formidable candidate.”

Yes he looks formidable in front of an audience composed of 85% Mormon Republicans im Mesa Arizona. The debates in November are not going to be infront of an audience of 85% Mormon Republicans in Mesa, Arizona.

He won’t appear a formidibale candidate when he gets laughed off the stage in the general election as a hypocrite.

It is obvious you didn’t read the blog being discussed or the news column samples demonstrating the fact that he is the Democrats -REAL- dream candidate because he innoculates obama on every issue for which he needs to be put on trial.

Running Mitt Romney against Obama would be as effecive as having John Corzine prosecute Bernie Madoff.
