Being quadriplegic, Sammi couldn't even walk let alone run like a healthy dog. But thanks to some caring people and one loving owner, everything changed. Just watch this through to the end - it's so tearful and inspiring.

It was a great video, But the question needs to be ask...
What was the motive for filming this recovery from the start when, it seems to me anyway, that the outcome couldn’t have been expected?

I can’t watch from the home puter, but this looks like one for Joe’s list.

I was feeling generally blah today, but after watching that video, I feel inspired and happy.
How can a quadriplegic anything learn to walk again? Is this sort of therapy being used on humans?

If the miracles performed at Stoke Mandeville hospital are anything to go by, the chances are ,yes.
However I just have a feeling that there may be something different about the dogs body ,with regards to regeneration.
Ive watched this performed on a Horse ,years ago.
The Horse was worth a fortune and an excellent Polo player.

<> I will guess that whoever filmed this video thought a recovery was possible. At worst case the person could have erased the video.

It’s also my understanding that most animals, and dogs in particular, experience pain differently than humans. We can emote and explain how and where it hurts, but they don’t have the understanding about pain that we do; hence the reason a dog would chew off its own leg to get away from danger.
I almost wonder if the process is just so painful that a relative procedure/process on a human would be awful. Some have higher pain tolerances than others, but since doctors are to “first, do no harm,” they would likely stop before any benefits would be realized.

But beyond that, it's how you keep track of progress day to day, week to week, when incrementally, it might be difficult to tell if there has been improvement or not.
