Rush Limbaugh has rejected an advertiser’s apparent attempt to reunite with his show after the company initially dropped its ads from the program following his remarks about contraception advocate Sandra Fluke.
The company, Sleep Train, calls itself “the No. 1 Bedding Specialist on the West Coast, and most recognized mattress retailer in the region.”
In an email to Sleep Train President Dale Carlsen (obtained by The Blaze), a representative of the show says that Limbaugh personally considered the company’s request, but denied it considering its public comments following the controversy.
“Thank you for your requests last week and this week to restart your voiced endorsement in local markets of The Rush Limbaugh Show,” the email begins. “Rush received your requests personally.”
“Unfortunately, your public comments were not well received by our audience, and did not accurately portray either Rush Limbaugh’s character or the intent of his remarks. Thus, we regret to inform you that Rush will be unable to endorse Sleep Train in the future.

Not only does Rush have a huge audience, his audience listens to the commercials. The audience does not flip around from station to station. They listen to the show and the commercials in their entirety. Screw you Sleep Train.

These companies need to think twice before they jump at every liberal witch hunt. Liberals are notoriously cheap people. They know how to protest, but do they do the majority of buying?

If he has time, or the inclination to send one of his minions out, he might seek out a Sleep Train competitor (a company in the same geographic region), and help them grow their business.
Well that sucks! He should make an example of them to!
Wouldn’t surprise me if they’re offering a sweetheart deal to whoever is their main competitor on the Left Coast.
What were Sleep Train’s public remarks?
It bugs me that in “the public forum”, liberals can say anything they want because part of their agenda is that ideas don’t have to make sense, but conservatives comments get trashed because their agenda is that ideas must make sense.

I informed Sleep Number that I had been seriously considering a second SN bed for our guest room. But now they couldn’t pay me to take one!
I think that’s a diplomatic way of saying “shove it up your ass...”

I had heard that Carbonite lost around 33% of thier stock price after the switch. Heh.

I think this has some personal history behind it. Perhaps an ‘etu Brute?’ moment where Caesar not only survived, but is on the counter offensive. Just guessing, but he is dealing with this one in a different manner.

Well maybe some of you do. I personally use commercials to fetch drinks, food, use the restroom etc.
Good for Rush! I knew these companies would come crawling back eventually..awwwwwwwwwwwww poor daily kooks, your dream of having Rush off the air has failed..miserably! I still will not buy from any company that abandoned Rush to begin with, that includes Carbonite, Sears, and whoever else will eventually come crawling back on their hands and knees begging for ad space
