LOL

To be fair, it’s not that people are so infatuated with Rivers that they await his endorsement of their candidate. It’s just nice to see a well-known person endorse someone whom you support. This doesn’t mean you are not “sane.”

Rivers is a class act! This just makes me like him even more! I can’t see Tebow endorsing anyone publicly. In an interview he was asked about gay marriage and wasn’t permitted by his publicist to answer.

“Santorum surging in California?”

Excellent to see this as well.

Note that with Newt pulling 17%, Santorum would have an easy win if Newt were to drop out (and the primary were tomorrow).

I’m going to have to pray for Newt to get hammered next Tuesday, and finally bow to the inevitable. I think at this point Santorum should seriously consider him for the VP slot - if they can work together at all.

I don't personally like Newt but I think he'd be ideal as a VP choice. His strength of personality would insure that at least some of his policy ideas would impact a Santorum administration. Between them, they're the perfect good cop/bad cop team. Santorum could explain policy with a smile and Gingrich could apply the whip to congresss.

Santorum to Newsmax: I'd Consider Gingrich for VP

Saying he'd look for a "strong and principled conservative" as a running mate should he win the Republican presidential nomination, former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum tells Newsmax that he certainly would consider rival Newt Gingrich for that vital role.

When asked if he would consider the former House Speaker as number two on his ticket, Santorum said Gingrich had been "tested" by the bruising GOP race and that makes him an attractive vice presidential candidate.

I completely agree. Santorum/Gingrich is pretty close to my ideal ticket at this point.

I was mainly defending Phil Rivers for being a social conservative. Brave man.

But I agree with you that Santorum is not likely to win. He’s too new on the scene this time around. He needs a more focused, professional campaign focused on both economics and social issues (Jesus is not moral vanity, by the way).

But if Santorum keeps campaigning for the next four years, he has the talent to emerge as a front runner. He’ll be seen as solid, steady, reliable. Just as the now-familiar Romney is building on his first candidacy of four years ago.

As for Newt — a brilliant debater, but like bin Laden, he has too many wives.
