Sleep Train begs Rush Limbaugh: Take us back; Limbaugh: Request denied
Examiner ^ | 03-09-2012 | Joe Newby

Posted on 03/09/2012 6:57:28 AM PST by AAABEST

Sleep Train, one of the companies that dropped its ads from Rush Limbaugh's radio program after Limbaugh called Sandra Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute," asked Limbaugh for another chance.

But Limbaugh denied the company's request.

(snip)

The Times added that Limbaugh spokesman Brian Glicklich forwarded an email he said had been sent to Sleep Train President Dale Carlsen. According to that email, Limbaugh himself considered the company's request and denied it.

“Thank you for your requests last week and this week to restart your voiced endorsement in local markets of The Rush Limbaugh Show,” the email began. “Rush received your requests personally.”

“Unfortunately," the email continues, "your public comments were not well received by our audience, and did not accurately portray either Rush Limbaugh's character or the intent of his remarks. Thus, we regret to inform you that Rush will be unable to endorse Sleep Train in the future.”

Let Sandra Fluke pimp sleep train products.

Sounds like she’s an expert on beds and bedding.

The State-Run-Media, at the instigation of Media Matters (Podesta's gang), BLARED ACROSS ALL AIRWAVES 24/7 the cancellations of Ads on the Limbaugh Show. Now, as advertisers are replacing them quickly, and even the FACT that he told them to "shove it" when they wanted back on, they don't say a word.

THIS is how propoganda in the ol' USSR was handled, too, where "All good for the State" was all that was "reported as news".

Unfortunately, the couch potatoes, mushy-headed indoctrinated college fools, etc. are ALL in the pocket of the Progressive Machine, and vote for more handouts and freebies from the Taxpayers (whoever is left with income).

There are so FEW accurate news sources (internet and Talk Radio), that they continue to attempt to shut them down, however illegally they can.

“I was a return customer to this Sleep Train until their delivery crew tracked paint all over the stair runners in my new home. After going through the process and contacting customer service, I was asked to provide estimates for cleaning the damage. Needless to say it has been about three months and nothing has been resolved. I dealt with Liz in their customer service department, but it seems she applied to the wait-them-out school of hospitality.
There is a lot of competition out there and I recommend you take your money to Mattress Discounters or, dare I say, Mancini.”

A review on Sleep Train website. LOL

Rule #1 Sleep Train - look before you leap, think before you act like a creep.

Take out some ads professing Rush did NOTHING wrong and your knee jerk reaction was indeed wrong. You see it NOW as the left’s desire to shut down the BRILLIANT, and thus conservative, RUSH. Then we will think about returning you to the fold/show that has massive appeal.

I must humbly disagree with El Rushbo...

...it’s Rush’s show. He does what he wants. People think Rush has a boss. His only boss are advertisers. Rush just denied his boss AND made himself a hero, once again, with his listeners. What an excellent example of the free market!

That's why Rush has the golden microphone and a 20 million strong audience and you don't. I'm sure he forgives...but that doesn't mean he has to let them have access to his huge and prosperous audience. They blew it...let them find another venue.

Sleep Train made a mistake.

Yes, they did. But where is their national apology. You can't expect forgiveness unless you ask for it. They wanting to get back on his show doesn't speak of an apology - it's speaks of their pocket.

No, his priority is loyalty to his audience NOT the advertisers. The advertisers PAY for access to his audience. Letting Sleep Train back in would be putting them before the audience. Rush had little choice here but to tell them to pound sand.

That's absurd. They made a political decision on a business policy and the should be made to pay for their mistake. If the stockholders don't like it, they should fire their CEO and board.

To quote from the movie Jurassic Park, "I don't blame people for their mistakes, but I do ask that they pay for them."

"Sleep Train made a mistake" The big problem is that Rush voiced their commercial for a local market. Rush can't stop the local station from running a Sleep Train commercial during his program. However, he Can refuse to allow Sleep Train to air the commercial with His voice.

Who will be out there sharing the news that this is all orchestrated by the White House?

At the end of December Gallup reported that Obama's support with women had slipped to an all time low.

Next comes George 'Stepped-in-awful-stuff' with his bizarre questions about contraception during the republican debate.

Then up pops Sandra Fluke.
Fluke is being represented and booked for appearances by the progressive PR firm SKDKnickerbocker, where Anita Dunn — the former Obama communications director — is a managing director.

This is as obvious as rain on a side walk. Just as obvious is the media's role in the whole promotion. Now, it's time for us to bring out the why.

There are two kinds of democrats: The one's who are working to punish America and the ones who support them.

Limbaugh did not make a mistake (except that lame apology).
Limbaugh talks about personal responsibility and excepting the results of those actions, Sleep Train screwed up, they will pay for their stupidity - its that simple.

Plus, regarding such attempted boycotts, Rush managed to turn the tables on them and send a clear message:

"I'M NOT GLENN BECK."

This little bit of stupidity has badly (or perhaps fatally) hurt several of these advertisers. GREAT to watch.

"This is as obvious as rain on a side walk. Just as obvious is the media's role in the whole promotion."

Yes, those of us with common sense have learned that the 24/7 State-Run-Media dis-information machine is one big happy family with the White Hut, and the DNC, AND, backed by the Free Society money-man.

WE don't buy their crap, but mush-heads and parasites want the "rich white bastards" to take care of them, be PENALIZED for their success, and not say a word about their moral depravity or dependency.

We still have a LOT of the Country watching TV, and the crap that's "Entertainment".

In WHAT administrations have Hollywood jerks been pulled in front of Congress as "EXPERTS" on everything from the Economy to Foreign Relations, when they have no CLUE what's happening anywhere, except what they're told?

It's ALWAYS "Progressives" that pull that crap, and the visitors to the White Hut since 2008 have been mostly "celebrities", NOT Heads of State from Foreign Countries, or PEOPLE WHO MATTER.
