I Hope Rush Limbaugh Gets Arrested
godfatherpolitics.com ^ | 03/10/12 | Gary DeMar

Posted on 03/10/2012 3:00:23 PM PST by harpu

Liberal lawyer Gloria Allred wants Rush Limbaugh arrested. She may want to rethink this latest publicity stunt.

By the now the Left was sure that Rush Limbaugh would be off the air. His comments about Georgetown law Student Sandra Fluke and the list of companies that cancelled their advertising for his how had them dancing with glee. Their biggest political thorn in the flesh was going down. No such luck.

The outpouring of support for Rush Limbaugh has been overwhelming. Advertisers have been replaced. Rush has shown the utter hypocrisy of the mainstream media by pointing out the laundry list of liberal rants and verbal sexual attacks on conservative women. Even many in the media are commenting on it. For example, Kirsten Powers, a Fox News analyst, wrote “Rush Limbaugh Isn’t the Only Media Misogynist” for the Daily Beast. Here’s how she opens her article:

Did you know there is a war on women?

Yes, it’s true. Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, Matt Taibbi, and Ed Schultz have been waging it for years with their misogynist outbursts. There have been boycotts by people on the left who are outraged that these guys still have jobs. Oh, wait. Sorry, that never happened.

Exactly! It never happened. “But if Limbaugh’s actions demand a boycott — and they do —,” Powers wrote, “then what about the army of swine on the left? Boycotts are reserved for people on the right like Rush Limbaugh. . . .”

An example of the double standard is Gloria Allred, the Left’s premier legal attack dog. She wants Limbaugh prosecuted for calling Fluke a “slut” and “prostitute.” She wrote a letter to the Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe asking whether Limbaugh had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes.

The statute stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. If Rush was found guilty, the maximum penalty would be one year in jail and a $1000 fine.

I would love to see this go to trial. Ms. Fluke would have to testify as to her sexual history. In doing so, it might confirm the very things Rush said about her. Witnesses would be called to testify. While I don’t know how many sexual partners Ms. Fluke has had, but just to ask the questions would prove much more embarrassing to her.

Then the issue of the liberal double standard would be brought out. There’s so much of evidence of this that we might see liberal talkers brought to trial as well. We might even see some politicians face the judge. It would be heaven. You know Rush Limbaugh would have the best high-profile lawyers defending him. It would be Oliver North and Iran-Contra all over again. The best in free entertainment.

Liberals are trying to get around the double standard accusation by claiming that the conservative women who were verbally attacked with sexual barbs were “public figures.” As soon as Ms. Fluke agreed to speak out publicly on the birth control issue, she became a public figure. She has since appeared on a number of radio and television shows.

Liberal hypocrisy runs deep. Let’s go to trial!

She should be disbarred, because you CAN’T get arrested for defamation, it is a civil trial.

Stories from and about Allred should join Ann Coulter stories on the black ball list.

She heard something was happening involving a woman, and she was being left out - so now she's injecting herself into the fray with these asinine comments.

Rush has done nothing to be arrested for.

I agree he has done nothing to get arrested for. Personally, I believe he should have been more careful with his comments. He is a showman and makes heavy use of sarcasm...this we know... but the issue at hand is one that NEEDED to be discussed.

This is the issue of government coercing religious groups to do things that run contrary to their teachings and conscience.

As a result of Rush using derogatory language (and she should have known better) ... he became the story and has taken the focus away from the fact that the government is trampling on religion.

His intent was to take the focus away from Sherif Joe Arpiao's news conference.

For cryin' out loud lady, he has apologized and it has been re-run ad infinitum...what you do want him to do now? Crawl across broken glass, walk a hot firepit, or perhaps drive spikes under his fingernails?

You probably need to look up the meaning to the word "slut" in the dictonary and you'll find out that Rush was right, again.

20,000,000 loyal listeners since the mid 80's is no easy feat, I can tell you that as a radio veteran.

If you want to jump on the flukewagon you're going to be in the vast minority. She was used by the dems, she's a useful idiot, and the fact that she needs to use $3000 worth of contraception in three years says a lot without Rush even uttering a word.

Rush hasn't stopped the discussion on contraception vs religion...he's show without question what lengths the left will go to in ursurping our religious freedom and driving the pitfalls of obamacare down our throats.

You obviously listen to the mainstream media too much, you sound just like that bunch of bleedin' hearts. If you think we're going to win anything without fighting fire with fire (liberal are the worlds' champions at sarcasm and mean-speak), then you must be located somewhere within the Bell curve.

I agree! I think Rush realizes that too, based on the comments he made in his apology. He knew he screwed up an he owned up to it; but the left can't let go. For the left, unfortunately, an apology by a conservative is like blood in the water to sharks!

She looks worse than that up close. At the post 9/11 Red Cross money drive I was inches away from her for Bush’s entire speech, when the whole place froze and listened live. For a brief moment my eyes focused on her caked makeup, the red on her lips and the thickly drawn dark lines around it.

Before retina damage set in, I bathed my eyes in who was sitting next to her, Larry Elder in a light denim button down wtih white wifebeater peeking out the top... What was Bush talking about? The evildoers were going to hear from us soon? I don’t remember. But Larry was wearing that shirt...

The statute [Section 836.04 of the Florida Statute] stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. If Rush was found guilty, the maximum penalty would be one year in jail and a $1000 fine.

Really? That's the law? Then I stand with Allred and call for a full prosecution. For all the reasons argued in this thread above. Bring it on.

Rush has commented how the Left is befuddled and cannot understand why he's not off the air.

Well it's not the first time that the Left just does not get it. I'll try to explain to them -- again!

This ain't the silenced generation, dummies!

For decades the Mau_Mauing, threats, and violence the Left used against Limbaugh worked flawlessly.

The Left's opponents would yield 90+ percent just to get the harassment to stop and the Left moved a notch forward to their goal of seceding from and destroying the Republic.

Walter "North Viet Nam Communists' most trusted man in America" Cronkite led the cheers every evening on CBS network "news". That's the way it was.

We got modern talk radio when the Reagan Administration halted the "Fairness Doctrine" -- the courts were about to do it anyway.

OK Lefty dummies.. one more time.

We Americans have modern talk radio and the Internet -- FREEDOM from you clowns and your iron control over the media!

This ain't the silenced generation, you Left-wing dummies!

I get the rhetoric, but think that image is a tad over the line, without knowing her history (and, really, I don't want to know).

I didn't like Bristol Palin being called a slut or tramp because she had sex with one guy (apparently on more than one occasion) and was found out because she became pregnant (which, apparently, only sluts and tramps do?).

Gloria Allred, Professional Slut Spokesperson, hit from the past:

Gloria Allred, CNN Dec 06 Panel Re announcement that Rape Charges vs Duke LaCrosse players would be dropped, when DNA test results finally revealed and “victim” changes her story:

[Subsequenty, all charges dropped, and DA(Nifong) disbarred for intentional prosecutorial misconduct in the case]
Excerpts from AllRED Panel Interview:

GLORIA ALLRED, ATTORNEY FOR VICTIMS` RIGHTS: Well, I think, Jane, that it certainly hurts rape victims when the handling of the case — when it is done in the way that this particular district attorney has done it.

In other words, if in fact it`s true that he withheld exculpatory evidence from the defense; if in fact it`s true that he didn`t interview the alleged rape victim earlier on in the process; if in fact it`s true that he only had lacrosse players at the lineup and not anyone else, thereby allowing the defense to challenge the lineup and the identification, then, you know — then that hurts his case.

And hurting a high profile rape case or what was alleged to be a rape case is certainly not good for rape victims.

And I`m not ready to conclude, by the way, that this alleged victim lied. It may be that she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol or both at the time of the alleged incident. It may be that she`s emotionally shell-shocked since then by all of the attacks on her.

We don`t know why she`s saying now what she is alleged to have said, that is, that she can`t testify with certainty that, in fact, there was a penis that — that penetrated her vagina on that day.

.....

Just days after that stunning announcement, the key exculpatory evidence was withheld by the D.A. Word now prosecutors have re-interviewed the woman, and she has changed her story again. Now she says she`s not sure that she was vaginally penetrated by a penis, so the rape charges have been dropped.

I want to go to victims` rights advocate Gloria Allred, because what disturbs me also is the finding of unidentified male DNA that is not from the lacrosse players in this woman`s body. And, you know, of course, it`s so disturbing to even discuss this. It feels so violating to get that graphic, but this is what this case has become.

It would imply that she wasn`t honest with the prosecutors from the get-go, because you would think that she didn`t say, “Hey, I have several other men that I`ve been intimate with in the last couple of hours”?

GLORIA ALLRED, ATTORNEY: Well, we don`t know how long that other DNA was in her body. So we don`t know whether it was just a few hours or substantially longer period of time.

But, you know, for people who want to call her a liar, you know, if she wanted to lie, she could say she was absolutely certain that there was a penis inside of her vagina and then proceed with the rape charge. Yes, I know there`s no DNA, but, I mean, she could have said that and she didn`t.

So maybe people should give her more credit than they`re giving her for her honesty, even though her story may be a little different now. You know, maybe her recollection is different or maybe she`s not certain now.

By the way, she`s not just a stripper. She`s also a college student. But, unfortunately, the press often doesn`t describe her as the college student that she also is.

....

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I see what you`re saying. And I want to go back to Gloria, because this is really point-counterpoint. And he also makes a valid point that perhaps she`s been victimized as well, because this is obviously going to tarnish and affect her life for the rest of her life. And you remember the Tawana Brawley case. This kind of thing really goes into the history books.

And she`s got to live with this for the rest of her life. He could have circumvented it, if he really felt that it was a very weak case, and said, “Hey, you don`t really necessarily want to proceed with this unless you`re absolutely sure.”

ALLRED: Well, absolutely. I think that she may very well have been a victim of District Attorney Nifong, because I think a district attorney really has a duty to vet the case.

I have seen cases, Jane, where rape victims have gone in, there`s a whole lot more proof than appears to exist in this case, and still district attorneys don`t prosecute. And especially in a high-profile case where they seem to require so much more than even the law requires, in order for them to stick their neck out as a D.A. and prosecute.

So I think that perhaps there has been mishandling of this case by the district attorney. Whether or not it`s too late to save it, it`s hard to tell at this point. But I do feel very sorry for the alleged victim, and just the fact that her story may be a little different doesn`t mean, again, that she lied.

I see that your other guests are not seeming to give any weight whatsoever to the fact that she might have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident, and also her emotional state may have been such that it did have an impact on her memory.

...

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, Gloria Allred, victims` rights attorney, jump in here, because I think that you really show the other side, in terms of the fact that we have to prosecute difficult cases, messy cases in this country, because that`s also part of achieving justice?

ALLRED: Well, of course. And whatever Nifong does, he`s going to be criticized.

He drops his rape charge because he doesn`t think it`s in the interest of justice to pursue it and because he doesn`t think he can prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, and he gets criticism for dropping it, and then he gets criticism if he doesn`t drop it.

In that way, I feel a little sympathetic towards him, although I wish he had never called them rapists in the first place. And he has hurt himself by some of his initial press statements.

You know, having said that, this case is not over yet. And we don`t know how it`s going to end. So, you know, for those people who just kind of want to hang him from the nearest tree, I think we still need to be cautious. We still need to wait and see. There may or may not be a trial.

He seems to be headed that way. But maybe in the end he`ll drop it. I don`t know.

And I am concerned, too, Jane, about what kind of support this alleged victim is getting. You mentioned that she`s estranged from her family. Has she been isolated? Has she had the advice of a private attorney? Has she had the support of advocates that an alleged victim in a high-profile case especially needs?

We don`t know the answers to that. And I`m concerned that she might be feeling fearful at this point, feeling anxious, and maybe feeling very much alone.

I don’t want him to do anything now. I just want him to be more aware in future. I know that he has many fans and a long-standing show. I’m NOT on the “Flukewagon” or any other wagon. I’m just making an observation. The entire conversation shifted from what was actually important ... to what Rush said about it and, being a veteran, he should have known better.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. While we might lament the fact, much of America does pay attention to mainstream media. THAT was the point of my post. Rush put himself in the position to BE the story instead of letting the real story be told.

Issue at hand needed to be discussed? That Sandra (Liver) Fluke is ripe for ridicule. It is the evolution of Marxism which is now from each according to his ability to each according her sluttiness.

I can understand Rush's apology for correctly describing her as a slut trying to graduate to prostitution (prostitution for which we taxpayer/johns don't even get any), since Rush is a gentleman; however, if it was me in that situation, I would not have apologized >>>>>veg<<<<<<<<<<<<

Fixed it for you.
