Coulter on Palin, brokered convention: GOP has ‘a problem with con men and charlatans’
The Daily Caller ^ | 03/14/2012 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 03/14/2012 11:24:31 AM PDT by old school

“And just a more corporate problem is I think our party and particularly our movement, the conservative movement, does have more of a problem with con men and charlatans than the Democratic Party,” she said. “I mean, the incentives seem to be set up to allow people — as long as you have a band of a few million fanatical followers, you can make money. The Democrats have managed to figure out how not to do that.”

RE :”Coulter proposed a pledge for Republican presidential candidates, which would be meant to limit their ability to profit off of political stardom.
“The one pledge I support and I think I’m going to draft it up is for all Republican nominees for president — I want them to sign a pledge saying, ‘If I lose the nomination I pledge I will not take a gig with Fox News or write a book.’

No one would run if they had to do that! FNC is the Republican party channel,

The funny part is FNC loves Romney and Ann just threw them under the bus

How about those that make believe they will run but dont?

Is Coulter actually suggesting that conservatives are more susceptible to con men and charlatans. If she really believes that, then she should openly disavow the conservative movement and join the liberals. No more playing footsie Ann, switch sides and become a liberal.

She really had a lot of us, myself included, snowed.

Anyone left think Ann is a conservative in any accepted definition of the term? Anyone? Behuler? Too bad. She did a great job burning libs to the ground with fact based logic and stinging sarcasm. It was worth it to buy the books and laugh at the job she did on them.

But now that she adopted John Kerry as her personal savior (he of the most divine flip flop), she uses the same tactics that her former targets have for decades. Except she fails at it. Pretty bad that Keith Oberdork is better at it that you Annie, considering your past abilities. Should have stuck with that whole “doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do” idea. Now you’re just Michael Moore in a dress.

PS Don’t bother to make me a sammich. I wouldn’t trust anything coming from you ever again.

GOP has ‘a problem with con men and charlatans’

“the conservative movement, does have more of a problem with con men and charlatans than the Democratic Party,” she said. “I mean, the incentives seem to be set up to allow people — as long as you have a band of a few million fanatical followers, you can make money.”

Ann Coulter is one who knows.

It just occurred to me. In light of her recent comments and actions, does this mean it takes a conservative “con-man/charlatan” to know one? Beginning to think Ms. Coulter would say whatever she thinks would put a buck in her pocket.

“I mean, the incentives seem to be set up to allow people — as long as you have a band of a few million fanatical followers, you can make money. The Democrats have managed to figure out how not to do that.”

• Ann Coulter said this?! The author of:
• High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton
• Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right
• Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism
• How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must)
• Godless: The Church of Liberalism
• If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans
• Guilty: Liberal "Victims" and Their Assault on America
• Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America

...said THIS!?

In order to slander Palin in support of Romney?!

Either Coulter is part of a psyop so intricate that its cover memes have cover memes...

... or someone's putting something in her Diet Pepsi - or her Swiss bank account. Not even aspertame could do this much damage to her mind.

My buddy gave her twenty-five bucks when she was running and now he is getting an email per day painting some nightmare scenario that will happen if he does not continue to send money to her. A lot of them are so over-the-top he forwards them to me so I can have a good laugh.

Nice lady, great conservative....but her advisers and her operations people really suck!

NO, I think others on FR who said it before were right. There’s nothing wrong with her. This is really who and what she is. Her books and TV schtick were no different than a man writing under a female pseudonym in a romance novel or an actor playing a part - AKA fake.

We ignored the warnings because we liked what she said. And she DID s say it well. It worked for Obama with the libs and it worked on most of us with Coulter. The rest of us pretty much owe those Freepers that recognized the truth long ago an apology.

Actually, I once made the mistake of buying one of her books. It turned out to be about 10 pages or so in the forefront and then the rest was a trashed out reprint of her former columns...I was disappointed at the time. It was lazy and just an excuse to get out and hawk a book and make money......just another trashy ho’ of a different (or was) political persuasion.

I wouldn’t waste my time reading anything she writes or says.
