The Justice Department on Thursday issued a 60-day stay of execution for hundreds of thousands of public pools which had been required to install ramps and wheelchair lifts by today or else face lawsuits over violating disability laws.

The ADA assumes that EVERYBODY is handicapped. Nobody is capable of doing anything without the help of our overlords.

Here in Louisville they are digging up every sidewalk and placing plates with raised dimples at EVERY intrersection. This is so blind people will know when they are off the street. Most neighborhoods have never even seen a blind person in them.
Find a need and fill it.

My dear FRiend, although I know exactly what you are saying, I must object to your pronoun use. Anyone who supported the smoking ban is not one of "us" as far as I am concerned. They may be FR members, but they are not FR believers.
Of course that is only my humble opinion.
Oh but it’s going to only get worse......some places, are forcing public pools to institute certain hours for “women only” or to have separate pools....for you guessed it, The Religion of Peace.

Unfortunately, that may work in North Caroline, but declaring private club status is not so easy in other states. I know because I’ve looked into it in regard to smoking bans.
That, sir is the issue. These are not PUBLIC pools. Hotels are not public places. In order to use the pool facilities one must be a paying guest. They are not open to the general public.
If they were only discussing public pools, you might have a valid point.
NO REGULATION WITHOUT LEGISLATION! We need to stop the massive laws being passed by unelected agencies.
Obama wants to kill children.
If this happens, pools will close, kids will not learn to swim and if they fall in water 2 inches over their heads, they will drown.
Something like 75% of blacks cannot swim, which is a tragedy. Not only the loss of enjoyment but the certaintude of death from minor incidents.
And it’s Obama’s fault.
