In the states where a republican is governor they need to close the IRS Offices down pending saftey and fire code compliance checks.

The time is overdue for the Congress to deal with the IRS being used as a political weapon. Slick Willie engaged in this kind of crap too. Somebody needs to go to jail.

The TEA Party rank and file overwhelming support the FairTax but now that Dick , flat tax, Armey and his Freedomworks organization have wormed their way into the TEA party structure the leadership is not to be found on the issue!
The states themselves could lead a tax revolt. The state governors could work with their county sheriffs, the top law officers under the Constitution, to declare and enforce a Federal tax holiday where they will arrest any Federal officer or IRS agent attempting to arrest citizens for not paying federal taxes. They could prevent employers from collecting withholding from employee pay, and threaten any bank with fines and the arrest of bank officers if they seize accounts for the IRS. Think of how their economies would boom!
All the more reason we need to ditch the current income tax system. The current system unfortunately can be used by the political party in power to go after enemies for sometimes specious reasons.
There are so many ways to legally fight back.
Yet they will not.
Another Clinton tactic.
Perhaps we can take Dick Armey and his flat tax buddies to the FairTax woodshed?
I have been dueling with him since the Tauzin Armey debates of the mid 1990s. FRankly, Bigun, I am still amazed that he doesn’t “get it.” I mean, after all, surely he doesn’t much care for the IRS. And, surely, he stands for FReedom, doesn’t he?
What is FRee about a tax system that retains the, as noted many times over, very abusive IRS?
It is high time we put the notion of a “flat income tax” to bed!
We will never be a FRee people as long as we have an income tax and an IRS!
