Global Jihad on Thailand: Relentless War, Media Silence

...RV in Thailand...:

If I sent you every story in the Thai papers of Muslim terror attacks you'd be reading nothing else. We are living in a war zone with thousands dead and thousands more maimed and crippled but the world does not seem to care and the Thai government keeps it hush-hush for fear of ruining a tourism-based economy.

Hapuseso Sadeh was 18 years old, riding her motorcycle home from school today (Saturday) when a Muslim bomb killed her instantly. Four other teenagers were injured by the roadside blast that was, according to the papers, intended for Thai soldiers (as if that makes it okay.)

The following links from John, SIO Thailand. Believe it or not, I am only posting half of what he has sent in the last couple of days.

Pattani bomb kills schoolgirl
Published: 17/03/2012, Bangkok Post

One schoolgirl was killed and four others injured, two critically, in a roadside bomb attack apparently intended for soldiers in Pattani on Saturday.

The five secondary school students were travelling home from school on three motorcycles after finishing their examinations when the home-made bomb buried near the road went off.

The incident took place on the Basaair-Nagate road at Ban Totuwor in tambon Pitumudee of Yarang district of the southern province. Hapueso Sadeh, 18, a grade 6 student at Prasanwitthaya Mullanithi school, died instantly. She was hit by shrapnel in the head, face and torso, said Pol Col Tuande Chutanant, chief of Yarang police station.

The injured victims, all from the same school, are Mariyae Sadeh, 16, the younger sister of the dead victim; Mariyae Dueramae, 16; Maseeto Salaema, 16; and Aresoh Salaema, 16. They were taken to Yarang hospital.

In this particular incident those girls were collateral damage. However, there have been many cases of beheading of Buddhist schoolgirls as well as poor Buddhist agricultural workers for no other reason than not being Muslim.

The Thai military won’t do anything. Nothing they can do without creating a really major incident with Malaysia which supports the terrorists and there is too much money involved with oil contracts and other nefarious deals between politicians in both countries which trump the lives of a few thousand poor Thais.

“....but the world does not seem to care and the Thai government keeps it hush-hush for fear of ruining a tourism-based economy.”

.
The answer lies in this sentence — how can the world care when the Thai government is more interested in making money than proclaiming the truth?

Thai people are among the most peaceful in the world. The phrase characterizing their politics has long been “mai bien lai” which means bend with the reeds or, whichever way the political winds are blowing, go with that.

They have always sided with whichever of the Russians or Chinese is strongest in order to maintain a spirit of neutrality.

Now come the radical, 7th century, savages, the people who care nothing for anyone’s life.

You’re all wet when you say the Thai government is more interested in tourist money than truth. They are just overwhelmed by the hate and force of the invasion from Malaysia.

They’re going for the Thais. I’m not a Thai, but my only excuse for doing nothing is that I don’t know how to do anything useful... except to pray for Thailand and its people. For anything else, I’ll have wait for them to come at us.

Nothing wrong with Thailand.

Fabulous place, with wonderful people.

Thailand is free in a way, America has long, long lost sight of.

Likewise, “pro-life” in ways we can only contemplate.

Well said Cringing. I lived in Thailand for years and it is, by and large, a wonderful country with terrific people. I miss it, but business brought me back to the states and I don't get the opportunity to get back over there much these days.

As to the article, yes, Thailand has a serious Muslim problem in the southern provinces. Islamist violence in those areas is beyond brutal and most of the world is unaware of what is going on. Seeing that in the news everyday while I was there is one of the things that confirmed in my mind that Muslim radical barbarity against others has very little to do with Israel and America, and is mostly due to the fact that Islam simply doesn't play nice with any other religion anywhere.

Just like in the US — they too do not know what to do with the muslim immigrants but rather kick the can down the road hoping that the next generation has more spine to solve the problem.
