On March 16th, President Obama signed a new Executive Order which expands upon a prior order issued in 1950 for Disaster Preparedness, and gives the office of the President complete control over all the resources in the United States in times of war or emergency.
The National Defense Resources Preparedness order gives the Executive Branch the power to control and allocate energy, production, transportation, food, and even water resources by decree under the auspices of national defense and national security. The order is not limited to wartime implementation, as one of the order's functions includes the command and control of resources in peacetime determinations.
Section 101. Purpose. This order delegates authorities and addresses national defense resource policies and programs under the Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended (the "Act").
(b) assess on an ongoing basis the capability of the domestic industrial and technological base to satisfy requirements in peacetime and times of national emergency, specifically evaluating the availability of the most critical resource and production sources, including subcontractors and suppliers, materials, skilled labor, and professional and technical personnel; - White House

Oh I think that they are setting up for some military action against Iran. They are moving battle groups into position and moving equipment over there. From what I have heard, the attack on Iran is almost a done-deal.
As far as co-opting elections, maybe. Both could be true.
I think Ive heard many times in the media how war time brings the country together and a President always gets re-elected during war time, so your theory might be right. If Obama feels like he is going to lose the election he might go to war with Iran, and he will have the media cheering him on, if not Iran, then Syria or some other country.
This election season is going to be very very scary. The progressive movement does NOT want to lose this election, for them, its their ONE chance to turn this country into their European Utopia, they know if they lose the chances of them having this opportunity again is slim to none.

And Panetta said just a few days ago that the US would get approval from the UN and “let” Congress know if military action was taken. Very odd.

I knew Obama was a dictator before he was even elected, I saw he was capable of this when I first set eyes on him, when I told people they thought I was nuts to even suggest it, but look at where we are now, its actually happening..people are wondering why Homeland Security wants 450 million rounds of ammunition, NOT the military, but Homeland Security..what the hell is going on?

I thought the same thing too when I saw that first speech of his at the rat convention - figured he was BIG trouble. But the reality is so much worse than I ever imagined and he’s only getting started. First he had to soften us up with no jobs, private industry struggling due to his policies and rising prices we can’t afford. Almost half of us are dependents already - how hard would it be to intimidate at least half of those who aren’t yet dependent - especially if they’re hungry.
People call Obama stupid but he is not. He is evil and I believe he is following a plan decades in the making to gut the USA.
This move smells and my gut tells me we have an ambush ahead.
