Tell 2012 Candidates “ENFORCE THE LAWS!"

CALL EACH OF THE FRONT-RUNNER CAMPAIGNS DIRECTLY AT 1-877-354-2951 OR SEND AN EMAIL BELOW.

Please let us know how they respond – email us at grassroots@pornharms.com

THREE LEADING GOP CANDIDATES HAVE GIVEN STATEMENTS PROMISING TO ENFORCE OBSCENITY LAWS IF THEY ARE ELECTED!

We encourage you to continue efforts to contact them though.

ASK THEM TO SPEAK OUT ON THE ISSUE! They must feel the pressure and know that this issue is important to Americans.

Former Senator Rick Santorum in a written statement:

“Federal obscenity laws should be vigorously enforced. If elected President, I will appoint an Attorney General who will do so. Limited Justice Department resources should be used to protect children and women from predators, not limited by state boundaries rather than to sue border states.” Note: Senator Santorum has commented listed pornography as one of the issues he is concerned with on his website here.

Former Governor Mitt Romney in a written statement:

“(I)t is imperative that we cultivate the promotion of fundamental family values. This can be accomplished with increased parental involvement and enhanced supervision of our children. It includes strict enforcement of our nation’s obscenity laws, as well as the promotion of parental software controls that guard our children from Internet pornography.”

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich in a face-to-face meeting:

When asked by MIM staff if he will enforce existing laws that make much hard-core adult pornography illegal, he responded, “Yes, I will appoint an Attorney General who will enforce these laws.”

..............................................

Under both the Reagan and Bush I Administrations, vigorous prosecutions of the nation’s top pornographers not only led to a dramatic decrease of pornography, but also a significant change in the nature of pornography. The porn industry stopped producing violent-themed pornography such as rape films, as well as themes involving children. In recent years, however, all prosecution of the existing obscenity laws has stopped, essentially giving pornographers a free pass to produce as much of the hardest types of pornography possible. As a result of not enforcing the law, hardcore pornography has now become the majority of available porn and individuals are suffering from a plethora of harms.

According to peer-reviewed research and many, many personal accounts, harm from adult pornography is at pandemic levels. Exposure to pornography is leading to addiction among many children and adults, and is a significant cause of broken marriages and the sexual exploitation of children and women. Pornography is linked to increased demand of sexual trafficking and its role as a gateway to child pornography is a major reason why child pornographers are increasing at unprecedented levels, according to new studies.

There is good news though! Already existing federal laws, upheld by the U. S. Supreme Court, prohibit distribution of hard-core obscene pornography on the Internet, on cable/satellite TV, on hotel/motel TV, in retail shops, through the mail, and by common carrier. The law is on our side. We simply need a President who is willing to demand that it be enforced.

The Obama Administration has turned a blind eye to the harm from pornography and has not initiated a single new federal obscenity prosecution since President Obama was inaugurated. In fact, they disbanded the task force organized to investigate and prosecute. We need presidential leadership on this issue. Please contact all of the candidates by email or by phone to make sure they know just how damaging it is to Americans if they allow these laws to remain uninforced.

What we must remember here is that pornography, the homosexual agenda, same sex marriage, Contraception, abortion, they all help in Obama’s fight against religion and God. They lower the morality of Americans and play into the hands of those who wish to destroy America.

Socialism cannot survive in a Christian Nation.

Obama and whoever stand behind him must first destroy us in rder to create their Fourth Reich, where individual freedoms do not exist and we all live at the whims of Government.

They will kill the unborn, the aged ,and anyone who is a burden to that government. They cannot do that with Christians, and a God fearing people.

Make no mistake it’s all part of the plan.

That’s absolutely correct. Without God, there is no acknowledgment of the sanctity and dignity of human life. Without God, our Eternal Father, man deems himself his own god. When every man is his own god, he makes his own laws and if that means he is free to murder other humans, then so be it, in his mind, because who does he have to answer to? Nobody - he is his own god. Persons such as these are atheists and heathens and atheists and heathens can/do believe anything their imagination and free will lets them. Whereas an Abrahamic religious person believes in God whom they will answer to and His Law - thou shalt not murder. This is how we know communism is of the Deceiver, it denies God and it requires all people to deny God. Abrahamic religion is the sole obstacle to the success of communism/socialism/Marxism, due to that one ultimately important truth. How can man be convinced to kill or be killed for the sake of the well-being of the earthly state, when he believes in Abrahamic law and the sanctity and dignity of human life declared by God? He can’t, if he truly believes the Truth. What is truly sad is the multitude of adherents to Abrahamic religions who have allowed themselves to be deceived, by the Deceiver...the father of Lies, into believing that innocent defenseless little boys and girls are not human or that non-believers are subhuman or that it is better to kill someone than see them suffer or kill many so a few don’t suffer. Regarding mankind’s greatest evil, even science has proven, time and again, that human life begins at the instance of conception...that all 46 chromosomes are present at that instant and the genetic code of its chromosomes did not come from the father nor the mother of that child - it is a unique individual human person, right then and right there. It has its own genotype that is human. It is not a carrot, nor a dog, nor a fish....nor a cyst nor a discardable organ like a gallbladder...nor any part of the mother’s body. At the instant, of the miracle of conception, a new individual human life is formed and that newly formed life’s force drives itself and builds itself its own physical body. Nothing more, from the mother or father of that child is provided it in the way of instruction nor definition from that miraculous instant on. Only food and protection are provided by the mother...something that life force depends on, and trusts in, receiving from their mother - nothing else is required. That life force, alone, builds its body...and its instructions are wholly complete at the instance of conception and its desire to live and love and be loved are all its own...gifts from God, not man. Gifts God gave and gives every human and let no human and let no state take those away.

Leftists love to enforce laws selectively. I.e., they want draconian enforcement for those they don't like--non-enforcement for those they do--and a sliding scale in between.

That is why they love to enact countless laws and regulations which cannot possibly be enforced. Then their agents have wide discretion.

Behind all this is the Leftists' dream of totalitarian dictatorship, forcing all its subjects into rigid conformity.

Leftists love to pass laws regulating everything, from the temperature of your bathwater to whether or not you can take a dog on the beach to the length of your dog's leish to the percentage of income tax you will pay.

The Stupid Leftists (the rank and file) then consider the problem solved and forget about it. It never occurs to them to wonder about the law's enforcement.

The nefarious, often psychopathic Leftist Leaders are not so stupid. They are under no illusion that such laws have solved the intended problems. Theirs is a deeper purpose: the increase of dictatorial powers by enabling selective law enforcement.

For example: In some states to allow, even by accident, one drop of pollutant into a river carries draconian penalties. Thus a law enforcement agent has enormous powers of discretion. He can ignore a big mess. Or he can extract enormous penalties from something insignificant.

Stupid Leftists tend to have blind faith in the Leftist Leaders. This is yet another manifestation of their stupidity.

Leftists HATE individual liberty. They HATE liberty.

In fact, hate, anger, and envy are the major motivators of the Left. The Leftist Dream is a totalitarian dictatorship under the influence or control of a Leftist oligarchy.

I’m sorry, but this war was fought in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, with the pretty definitive conclusion by the Supreme Court that standards of pornography are local, up to the individual states, not for the federal government to involve itself. And to invite the federal government to involve itself is courting disaster. Not because of the issue, but because it is so astoundingly unimportant compared to other issues.

DON’T DO IT.

The entire argument is a nonsense distraction from the MAJOR issues of the campaign, of which about everyone is in agreement MUST be dealt with NOW, or offer DISASTER to our entire nation.

So tell the candidates to just SHUT UP about it. They are hopefully going to be elected to save our nation from a major economic catastrophe, possibly even worse than the Great Depression; to involve themselves in a major war that because of screwing around will now likely involve two or more nations with nuclear weapons and a willingness to use them; a federal government already so bloated and unconstitutional that it consuming more resources every year than our national gross domestic product.

TO HELL WITH PORNOGRAPHY! Right now it is as important as what brand of toothpaste you are using. For candidates to spend even a minute talking about it is a horrific waste of the precious time we have to figure out a replacement for Obama.

If they want to talk about “boxers or briefs?”, or “do video games cause violent crimes?”, or other UTTERLY UNIMPORTANT crap, we all must loudly yell for them to SHUT UP and save our nation!

We do not have the time to screw around any more. Or people are going to be terribly hurt, or even killed. And many of them will be Americans.

They don’t even bother to enforce immigration/sovereignty laws, and I don’t see any of the candidates prepared to do it either.

It is terribly unfortunate for persons to believe that our nation’s lack of morality, regarding something as important and fundamental as human dignity, is not responsible for our lack of blessing and our misfortune on the local, national, and world scale.

One cannot have their cake and eat it too.

I don’t want some goody-two-shoes (or worse, Taliban-like moralist) deciding what I can read and what I can view. I think I should be able to make that decision myself. There’s an enormous amount of pornography on the net. Many millions of persons — and voters — are viewing it. Sometimes I do myself.

In my opinion, as long as it depicts consenting adults, the government should leave it alone (and concentrate on enforcing some of the many other laws it’s not enforcing). I’ve been viewing pornography all my life, and it has yet to turn me into a raving sex maniac who goes out and does harm to other persons. I can distinguish between fantasy and reality, and still haven’t lost my empathy for others.

You must be one of those young whippersnappers. At my age, viewing porn is like a man without teeth looking at pictures of steak.

Legislators pass vaguely worded laws against pornography because of pressure like this, and because the persons who like pornography don’t have the nerve to speak up. (I suspect that for every one who is willing to admit viewing pornography there are ten or twenty who won’t.) Yet softcore sex saturates our culture, and to a lesser extent has been present in past cultures. There’s no obvious place to draw the line in deciding what’s softcore and what’s hardcore. The so-called “community standards” criterion for obscenity is ridiculous. With the internet we’re now connected to nearly everything in the world. The sites we frequent the most become our communities.

Voters who are preoccupied with suppressing pornography aren’t very likely to vote for Obama anyway. On the other hand a good many persons on the right, who would be disposed to vote for his opponent, don’t like having the government decide what they can read or view. I’d never vote for Obama myself, but seeing his opponents say they’ll enforce pornography laws with more rigor causes me to view them with less approval. Enough statements like that on enough issues, I may just say to hell with them all, and not vote for anybody.

If there’s one thing that has become more and more evident to me as I observe life, it’s that evil things often happen to good persons, and vice versa. Some aspects of morality do tend to lead to better rather than worse outcomes, but I see no evidence that any kind of “blessing” is protecting the innocent — not in this world, anyway. The strong prevail, and the good prevail only to the degree that they’re strong (and even then disasters outside their control may crush them).

‘Fraid not. I’m a (dirty) old man, who can chase women but no longer catch them (and wouldn’t be able to do much with them if he did). So it’s fantasy or nothing for me.

Starvation and bullets do not care if you are a moral person. While discussions and debates about morality have a time and a place, inside a burning building is not one of them.

We need someone to rescue us to save out lives, right now, not screw around with an endless litany of things that can be decided at leisure. That the Republican candidates are willing to embrace this distraction severely reduces the level of confidence we should have in them.

These porno laws weren’t enforced for 8 years under Bush and Senator Santorum never said one word. As a US Senator he could have put a spotlight on the issue but like Bush, he chose to ignore it.

I have never met so many liars, as I have met in regards to Santorum, here on FreeRepublic.

(CBS News) ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - Campaigning in this Chicago suburb on Friday, Rick Santorum accused President Obama of failing to enforce an anti-Internet pornography law he worked to pass in the Senate and said that as president, he would do more to protect children from inappropriate online content.

Blaquebyrd didn’t deny that Santorum supported passage of the anti-pornography law. What he said was that Santorum didn’t complain about its lack of enforcement under Bush.

>”A wealth of research is now available demonstrating that pornography causes profound brain changes in both children and adults, resulting in widespread negative consequences...Pornography is toxic to marriages and relationships. It contributes to misogyny and violence against women. It is a contributing factor to prostitution and sex trafficking.” [from the linked net site]<

Profound brain changes? I somehow managed to score in the top percentiles on standardized tests and to graduate with honors, and I’ve yet to notice a decline. I’ve never been a misogynist or violent toward women either. Rather than contributing to prostitution, porn offers a less dangerous alternative both for consumers and porn actresses (who otherwise might be exposed to the dangers of being on the street and dealing with pimps — and without porn that’s more likely where they’d be rather than in a convent or pursuing a doctorate in something).

As for pornography being toxic to marriages, one reason there are so many bad marriages is that people are so desperate for sex that they marry persons they shouldn’t have married in the first place. Porn, though not a complete substitute for real sex and having a meaningful relationship, does reduce the pressure a bit.

Real sex and the jealousy that often accompanies it cause more suffering than fantasy sex or porn. When one spouse is murdered, it’s always the other spouse who’s the first suspect. Sometimes there’s no need for an investigation, the person goes berserk and commits the murder in public. In other instances the whole family is killed. The problems caused by fantasy sex are insignificant compared with the problems caused by real sex.

GJones2, first of all, one shouldn’t mistake intelligence for sound mind.

Second, it is apparent from your writing that you do have some real mental, social and moral issues and you should probably get some real help in those areas.
