Press Secretary Jay Carney advised those critical of the Administrations decision to make insurers cover birth control devices and drugs to give it a rest.
Look, the President is sorry that some consider this action to be insensitive to their personal or religious beliefs, Carney said. But they certainly cannot expect him to subjugate his policy aims to these beliefs.
Carney suggested that critics may want to reexamine the issue. Does the Bible explicitly prohibit birth control, or for that matter, abortion? I dont recall ever having read that Jesus gave any commandments on these matters. I think His wish was for us to love our neighbors. He didnt say not to use measures to prevent or terminate unwanted pregnancies that might result from this neighborly love.
Barring a reexamination of faith, Carney conceded that those who are truly opposed to the Presidents mandate have the option of trying to overturn it by electing someone else in November. Surely this is a less frightening task than the martyrdom endured by the earliest Christians. So, please, no more whining.

Well, why did obamma give the moslems a free pass, not requiring them to to offer or buy healthcare?
Liberalism (er, now “progressive-ism”) is the world view based on the rejection of principles. Therefore it is oriented towards the flow of power. Liberals have NO principles, they only have respect for power. When the power calculation on any subject swings against them, they will ALWAYS excuse changing their “final” position.
Happily, in a Constitutional Republic, that point should come via the ballot box long before it must come from the barrel of a gun, as Mao reportedly quipped and as has been echoed by people associated with this administration.
See video of Ron Bloom, who at one time served as Obama’s “Manufacturing Czar”, and who stated in public that power comes from the barrel of a gun:

:)
Carney needs to understand that by the same token...Obama certainly doesn’t expect us to comply with someone elses idea of what the Bible says just because he is a wannabe dictator.
“I dont recall ever having read that Jesus gave any commandments on these matters. I think His wish was for us to love our neighbors. He didnt say not to use measures to prevent or terminate unwanted pregnancies that might result from this neighborly love. “
Grotesque self serving rubbish. Especially that last line. The specification for conduct expressed by the Bible, New and Old testament, encompasses all conduct. People who indulge in lawyerly parsing are lying. ‘Do not spill your seed on infertile ground’...but hell, kill the baby if necessary is is pure evil bullshit.
Y’all did understand this is satire, right?
John, you can raise my blood pressure faster than anyone I know, including my wife and kids. I have since learned to recognize the warning signs and look for your byline. Another good one. ;-)
Just here for the popcorn ...
Yes. Not very good at that. Tiresome.

Well Jay, that is why we have courts, Jails and Gitmo for violators of the US Constitution such as your boss, Baby-Doc Barak.
This stuff you write is junk. It’s not even imaginative. Not nearly as interesting as reality.
