Despite his change of the U.S. economy into a hope-less version of Europes, President Barack Obama, the self-proclaimed fourth greatest president ever, could still be reelected.
Go figure. That may say more about us than it does him.
But despite economic woes, joblessness, so many people out of work for so long they quit looking, soaring debt and deficits and the looming threat of even worse on the horizon (ObamaCare), the likable but arrogant president could emerge victorious in November.

We have plenty of oil but not enough refineries, just like the oil companies want. The money to be made is in refining shut a few refineries down the price of gas goes up, it’s called free market capitalism.

Actually the EPA closed down the refineries in the NE but hating the oil companies is very popular for O’Rino Repubs.

That graphic should be a Newt Gingrich campaign ad with the addition of $2.00 early in 2013 after Newt takes office.

I have no idea why so many people would like an arrogant prick? I never thought those were qualities people liked in their president. It gets even more confusing when you add whiny and corrupt to the mix. I guess I am out of step with half the country.

Actually, anyone that calls what is happening to America “free market capitalism” is not a RINO. Sounds more like a leftist/socialist (communist w/a smiley face) to me!

And I bet you think oil comes from dead dinosaurs and plant life too. your clueless. No. Actually there's still debate about that. My reference was to the accusation that "Big Oil" is supposedly clogging up refining capacity to drive up prices. The EPA has been steadily increasing restrictions on refineries for years. Not to mention State bureaucrats and laws imposing blend formulas on refiners that require them to constantly change thier processing.
And you can't spell either....
To: Digger
And on top of the refinery restrictions, you have brainless politicians like our incompetent President and Senate Democrats blocking pipelines to bring oil to those refineries.
My company is increasing our drilling capacity as quick as is humanly possible. We have managed to increase manufacturing to maintain the number of drilling motors that we have in the field. But we're also building more motors to expand our fleet. That means even more parts to maintain those new motors. As with everyone else in this business, it's ball to the wall! And it has absolutely NOTHING to do with what The Boy President is doing!
To: Antoninus II
SEE TAG LINE The fact is every year around memorial day some refineries here in the USA has some major problem and has to shut down for 3-6 months, therefore driving up the cost of gas through the summer months. There is no justification when oil is lets say 90 bucks a barrel and it goes up to 92 bucks and the price at the pump goes up 20-30 cents. You don't believe it's a racket I do so we can end with that.

I still don't understand you're reference to "dead dinosaurs and plant life". What exactly does that have to do with refinery performance??
Maybe this could shed some light. Refining is quite complex and the regulations very stringent. LOTS of variables.

To: Antoninus II
Your saying I was clueless about refining oil and my come back was that you probable still think that oil is a byproduct of dead animals and plant life that it is a limited resource. The Russians have been laughing at us since the 60's when we came out with the peak oil BS because they discovered oil deeper than what could of possible came from plant life and animals. The reason I think the who thing is a racket is due to the fact that Standard oil old Rockefeller him self was selling oil to the Nazi out of South America while the USA was on gas rationing where do you thing they got the technology for coal gasification? The regulations on gas is a smoke screen for higher prices. In the 70's we had the embargo Carter had a plan to get us off foreign oil what happened? Special interest (big oil) squashed those plans. Oil in the 90's was what 10 bucks a barrel and 1.50 a gallon for gas now it's over 100 bucks and it's 4.00 dollars a gallon? Do the math they have been screwing us for years. When Ford made his first cars they ran off alcohol then Standard oil got involved and what happened? The company that sold 90% of the oil to light the world now had it's grip on the new auto business. It's all a game read the book
Big Oil & Their Bankers In the Persian Gulf: Four Horsemen, Eight Families and Their Global Intelligence, Narcotics and Terror Network.
