SEE TAG LINE The fact is every year around memorial day some refineries here in the USA has some major problem and has to shut down for 3-6 months, therefore driving up the cost of gas through the summer months. There is no justification when oil is lets say 90 bucks a barrel and it goes up to 92 bucks and the price at the pump goes up 20-30 cents. You don't believe it's a racket I do so we can end with that.

I still don't understand you're reference to "dead dinosaurs and plant life". What exactly does that have to do with refinery performance??
Maybe this could shed some light. Refining is quite complex and the regulations very stringent. LOTS of variables.
