When a story regarding the Trayvon Martin death appears, it is almost universally accompanied by this image:
It is of a Trayvon Martin years younger than he really was. And it's not accurate. Dan Linehan has done some sleuthing and found a much different picture of Trayvon Martin than the one being forced down our throats. The real Trayvon Martin is being scrubbed as you read this.

It seems that Tray was also on Twitter, but his account seems to have been recently deleted by his family or friends.
His screen name was “@NO_LIMIT_NIGGA, as you can see from the twitpic account screenshot above. He was also a member of a twitter hash group #team4dat.
At first, I was skeptical that anyone would maintain an account with that sort of derogatory slur in the title, but after doing some research, it’s apparent that it was Trayvon’s account.
The account was in existence long before the shooting occurred a few weeks ago, and was deleted only recently, there are still dozens of references to @NO_LIMIT_NIGGA in google’s cache.
The associated twitpic account matches the account name and is still online at the time of publication. Most of the pics were uploaded months ago, so this account was associated with Trayvon long before the shooting took place.
Several of Tray’s friends have been very open about referring to Trayvon using that account as well. His cousin, who is quite active on Twitter, refers to Trayvon more than a dozen times using the @NO_LIMIT_NIGGA nickname.
Apparently the account has been terminated but Google has lots of cached references.
Trayvon referred to himself as "Slimm" in his Twitter account and his Facebook account.
He had friends in gangs, if he was not in one himself, and there is a question as to whether Martin was active in the drug trade.

Wow, well stated. This is the DUKE Lacrosse team and Richard Jewell story wrapped up by the Tawana Brawley’s race baiting Reverend Al Sharpton of MSNBC NEWS. No wonder Obama wanted to claim the lad as his son.
Just flipping by MSNBC and heard Sharpton say Trayvon was just a perfectly innocent kid just going to get skittles and he ended up dead. I almost flipped out that he actually said this. MSNBC has no shame.

The fight will be over keeping him as a Juvenile, so all his past activity can be hidden, and not used in Court. Likewise, scrubbing is underway big-time, but with the Internet (fortunately, in this case), lots of info is being found that shows a clearer picture, and the "Baby Pictures" the State-Run-Media have been showing are clearly indicative of the Race-Baiting that's going on, and used for Political purposes in the saddest way.
My take is that we’ve all been had, including the Usurper-in-Chief.
Intentionally? Perhaps, but there is also the possibility that the media staffed with graduates of J-schools and understaffed in these hard times, has been lazy and let itself be manipulated by the parents of the Trayvon, and whoever else has fed it the sob stories.

SANFORD — Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin was suspended from school in October in an incident in which he was found in possession of women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that a schools security staffer described as a “burglary tool,” The Miami Herald has learned.
Trayvon, who claimed that an unnamed friend had given him the jewelry, was not disciplined because of the discovery, but was instead suspended for graffiti, according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald.
A lawyer for the dead teen’s family acknowledged Trayvon had been suspended for graffiti, but said the family knew nothing about the jewelry and the screwdriver, calling the information in the report an attempt to “demonize” the youth.
According to the report, on Oct. 21 staffers monitoring a security camera at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School spotted Trayvon and two other students writing “W.T.F.,” an acronym for “What the f-—,” on a hallway locker, according to schools police. The security employee, who knew Trayvon, confronted the teen and looked through his bag for the graffiti marker.
Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described the screwdriver as a burglary tool.
Trayvon was asked if the jewelry, which was mostly women’s rings and earrings, belonged to his family or a girlfriend.
“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.
School police impounded the jewelry and sent photos of the items to detectives at Miami-Dade police for further investigation.
“Martin was suspended, warned and dismissed for the graffiti,” according to the report prepared by Miami-Dade Schools Police.
That suspension was followed four months later by another one, in February, in which Trayvon was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it, the boy’s family’s attorney has confirmed. A schools police report obtained by The Miami Herald specifies two items: a bag with marijuana residue and a “marijuana pipe.”
The suspension was the third for the teen. On Monday, the family also acknowledged Trayvon had earlier been suspended for tardiness and truancy.
The reports of the suspensions surfaced as a more complicated portrait of Trayvon began to emerge Monday. Trayvon was shot to death in Sanford on Feb. 26 during a scuffle with neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. He was suspended from school at the time.
Reacting to the new schools police report, Ben Crump, an attorney for the parents, said they “never heard anything like this about a bag of jewelry….And anyway, it’s completely irrelevant to what happened Feb. 26. They never heard this, and don’t believe it’s true. If it were true, why wouldn’t they call the parents? Why wasn’t he arrested?”
“We think everybody is trying to demonize him.”
Trayvon, who was 17 when he died, had never been arrested, he said.
His mother, Sybrina Fulton, said her son never had any problems with gangs or the police. In fact, she said, when she transferred him out of Carol City High School to be closer to home, the school wanted him to stay at Carol City because they liked him and he was a good student, she said.

One thing many of us here have learned well since 2008.. pic downloads, screencaps, and vid downloads are important (and do it before you post it, so you know you have back-up)... or else it may not be there in 15 minutes or less ;)
(Then, find a site that can hold the uploads long enough for others to see before it too is scrubbed).

I’m reminded of Tom Wolfe’s book The Bonfire of the Vanities. If you haven’t read, now might be a good time.
I LOVE that book. I’ve been meaning to reread it since it first came out. Tom Wolfe, of course, went through the ‘70s & ‘80s in outta-control NYC and wrote that wonderful book with a poison pen!

You pointed out the most fascinating aspect: the change in that kid’s face. I’m wondering if it was a divorce or something that changed him.
I haven’t read it since the first paperback came out. I loved it so much - because I felt I had been living that experience. Also, ‘cause Tom Wolfe used to come into a restaurant I worked at and would give excellent tips, lol!
At the time, I remember being thrilled with the dubious portrayal of Christopher Hitchens (who denied he was Peter Fallows). 20, 25 years later I mourned his death.
The book got mixed reviews but was a huge success. As I said, I myself, loved it!
