Exhibit A on why liberals seldom go into police work -- Ed Schultz's chat with a like-minded caller to his radio show yesterday about the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.
To the caller, it was "cut and dry" that Zimmerman murdered Martin during their confrontation in Sanford, Fla., last month. (audio)
CALLER: Hey, what is it about the right that just can't be wrong about something? This whole Trayvon Martin deal is just driving me nuts. It's cut and dry. The guy brought a gun to the fight. The kid was just walking home. You know, a scuffle ensues because this guy pursued him and he shoots the kid. That's, that's murder ...
SCHULTZ: Well, well, here, here, here's the thing. So what if Trayvon Martin hit him?
CALLER: That's exactly. So what if ...
SCHULTZ: So what if he, uh, broke his nose?
CALLER: I, I agree.
In fairness to Schultz, he does have a point. It is, after all, universally known that if a person has been punched, his nose broken, the assailant then slamming his head repeatedly on pavement, the assault will definitely end right there and go no further. Every person in this situation can be certain of that -- not to worry, the worst is over, just ride it out and wait for your assailant to tire himself out. Only a matter of time, no doubt about that, and your survival is all but ensured. The last thing a victim should do is allow the situation to escalate into violence.
Let me see if I have this straight -- Rush Limbaugh verbally assails a foot-stomping perpetual student who demands her Jesuit law school give her free contraception, and it's a crime against humanity. Schultz takes Zimmerman at his word, if only momentarily, and says he should have accepted getting physically assailed -- and that it was criminal of Zimmerman to defend himself.
Fortunately for Schultz, Zimmerman isn't a radical Muslim, thus sparing Schultz considerable confusion...
So, he’s dead, Ed.
That’s what.
He's still a doofus.
People like Ed are gonna get all of us killed.

Just Ed being Ed
Here’s wishing that when Ed Schultz goes home one night in the NEAR future and he gets attacked and punched in his fat liberal nose and knocked down from the blow. While laying there, the assailant starts banging the back of Ed’s head into a nearby sidewalk several times.
Of course, in THIS STORY, poor stoopid Ed wouldn’t be armed and his assailant would probably pump some lead into him because he wouldn’t want to be identified for assault later. If only what goes around really will come around then we wouldn’t have to speak of Ed again.....
Tell you what, Ed baby - how about I give you a concrete facial. Bounce your head off the pavement a few times while I’m at it. Let’s see how you like it.

The other Mr. Ed, who had a TV show a long time ago, was a lot smarter.

Well gee Ed, after bashing a broken nosed head on the pavement, he really should’ve kicked and broke some ribs. Only when he got to heel-face-stomping should any sort of defense be considered.
Ed, if you attack me and try to kill me, guess what......You will get shot.
Sgt. Schultz is the back end of the horse.
Rush using some inappropriate words is clearly not a crime against humanity, but something requiring him to apologize, which he did. No need to escalate.
Zimmerman confronting Trayvon was ill advised. But, that doesn’t justify Trayvon attacking the guy, if that is what Trayvon did.
Trayvon punching Zimmerman and breaking his nose was a criminal assault. But, that by itself doesn’t justify the use of deadly force by Zimmerman.
It is not for me to say whether Trayvon’s death was merely a tragic accident, or was a manslaughter, or was a murder. That’s for the law enforcement authorities, including the police on the scene and the grand jury convened by the D.A.
The whole idea of moral outrage, as the left displayed with Rush and is being displayed again with Zimmerman, shows that the left is subject to primitive, tribal thinking, where anger and other emotions overcomes reason.
But, that doesn’t mean that we should fall to their level.
So if zimmermann was black and martin was white...

With all the invective, inaccuracies and political shadings, this is how I understand it. Zimmerman spotted a stranger in the neighborhood, followed him, called police and was advised that ‘he didn’t have to do that” (follow Trayvon). At that point, I think Zimmerman broke off and was returning to his car when Travon circled back and confronted him. The attack occurred on a sidewalk, where Trayvon was bashing Zimmerman’s had into the concrete. I have to assume this occurred beside Zimmerman’s car.
Not just broke his nose, but pounded his skull against the cement. People die like that every day! He didn’t know his 6foot3 assailant was a minor. How could he? And how would that make the situation different?
The MSNBC Klux Klan Does not care how many innocents get killed over this, all they care about is THE NARRATIVE.
Rile the blacks who are disgusted with Obama up, so they show up to VOTE in November.
That is the ONLY thing this is about.
