Megadeth singer and guitarist Dave Mustaine believes Barack Obama was born somewhere outside the United States, and he’s not crazy about GOP candidates Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich either.
The comments came in an interview with George Stroumboulopoulos on the Canadian television show “The Hour.”
Calling himself a “lesser of evil” kind of guy, Mustaine commented on the eligibility issue and the GOP field of candidates in 2012 before clamming up, saying, “I don’t want to talk about my president.”
Before he closed down, he said he’s concerned about life in America at the moment, as the government takes away more rights.
He said for him, the big issue is the right to freedom of speech: “I’ve got a big mouth.”
He has a lot of questions about Obama but “certainly not where he was born.”
“I know he was born somewhere else than America,” Mustaine said.
When the host brought up Obama’s history, the rocker said, “How come he was invisible until he became … whatever he was in Illinois?”
Stroumboulopoulos concluded Mustaine must be a “birther.”
Mustaine replied, “I don’t want to talk about my president.”
And a "birther" to boot? Who knew?
I certainly already knew how Dave Mustaine feels about the U.N.

Why did Obama, James Carvile, MSNBC, and all other Democrats do everything they could to keep the Birther story alive? Because it’s useful propaganda for the Left, as it makes those on the Right look like idiots. Which is why it’s a good thing that the Birther thing is long-dead now, and that the majority of conservatives never bought into it.

This is the fourteenth presidential election I have paid any attention to. I was dimly aware of Eisenhower running in 1956 and have paid close attention to every election since. This is clearly the worst field of candidates fielded by the major parties I have ever seen.
There isn’t one of them that should be considered a worthy candidate for president, IMHO.
And it is only an opinion based on fifty-six years of observation.
I saw this story originally at The Blaze (before WND and others picked it up) and I thought it strange because Beck has ridiculed birthers so many times. You should have seen the comments calling Beck to task.
You are of course correct that the concealed paper trail could lead to a different conclusion. Could being the operative word.
Watching the interview (the "birther" segment begins at 7:49), astute viewers who have a more than passing familiarity with the so-called "birther" issue will not fail to recognize that Dave has done a bit of homework in the subject.

There’s PLENTY of evidence that Obama was born in Mombassa, Kenya. Near as anyone can tell, there is no hard-copy birth certificate. Can’t see his college grades either. Nor his senior thesis. SS number likely a forgery...042 issues came from Connecticut in ‘77...a state he’d never been to. Selective security card a fraud...a PROVEN fraud.
Many, many other things in Obama’s background that don’t fit.

The known facts (the newspaper announcement) are not evidence of a Hawii birth. The forged BC and the problamatic SS application, to name but two, leads rational people to conclude Barry birth was not born in any Hawaii hospital.

I love how you can see so many fantastic performers up close in smaller venues in Tokyo, et al. Zakk Wylde tossed me a beer at one of his gigs at Club Quattro a few of years back. Good times. :)

Getting back on topic though, how about Dave's commentary? It seemed to me after watching the exchange as if he wanted to expound upon the topic but thought better of doing so, for whatever reason. Note the aggressive posture of the television host as he scoots forward to the edge of his seat, if you will.
