ABC News boldly proclaimed police surveillance video of George Zimmerman being taken into the Sanford police station the night Trayvon Martin was killed showed no blood or bruises from an alleged physical encounter Zimmerman claimed to have had with 17 year-old Trayvon Martin.

A new High Definition clip from the same video appears to make clear that Zimmerman had a gash, or wound of some kind on the back of his head. That would be totally consistent with his version of events on the night in question and opposite the impression ABC News gave its viewers.
Big Journalism called the ABC video-based report reckless and revealing of nothing after it first aired.

I tell ya, we get a conservative as POTUS, it’ll be time to institute our own fairness laws. Networks that broadcast such propaganda under the guise of reporting news would be fined one million dollars per event.
A distraction in my opinion. A wound doesn’t have to be the equivalent of an ax wound. All that really matters is what’s in the police report.
A wound like that? That would take quite a crack to the skull.... or a cracked skull. The man was lucky that there was no concussion or death.
If it had been drawn out, how many more would he have had? Just enough to do the job?
However the crowd at Sanford today seems to be only a few hundred.....might be rain predicted is keeping some away. I'd rather prefer to think better minds in the black community will prevail in this whole affair......but so far few have been speaking out.

The Miami Herald reported that in the gated community in which Zimmerman patrolled, there were eight burglaries, nine thefts and one shooting in the past year. Neighbors of Zimmerman described him as being passionate about security and credit him with thwarting and cracking some crimes. It was also revealed that Zimmerman identified himself as a Hispanic and was a registered Democrat.

He could have been carrying his own head in a duffel bag and the reaction from the left wouldn’t be any different.
Zimmerman should have consulted with a medical professional to ensure that the wound on his head was serious enough to justify defending himself against the guy that was on top of him trying to kill him.
Have things gotten so desperate for the RATS that they now resort to eating their own? Another one thrown under the bus.

The police report says when officers arrived Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose and the back of his head. “I was yelling for someone to help me, but no one would help me,” the shooter told police.
The elder Zimmerman said words quickly escalated into an altercation.
“At that point he (Zimmerman) was punched in the nose. His nose was broken. He was knocked to the concrete. Trayvon Martin got on top of him and just started beating him in the face, in his nose, hitting his head on the concrete,” he told the Orlando TV station.

I’ve seen nothing but upstanding citizenry, compassionate humanity and decency from the Zimmerman father and brother.
Why aren’t there arrest warrants out for the leadership of the New Black Panther party, for threats, intimidation, inciting of kidnapping, etc. I’m not a lawyer but I would think this is illegal!

I’ve been reading a lot of claims that the wound on the back of Zimmerman’s head proves he was hit from behind by Martin, thus proving that Martin started the fight.
Some of the same people are claiming that when Zimmerman fired, Martin was on top of him, banging his head on the concrete.
Unfortunately, claim B pretty much disproves claim A, as the head/concrete interface is a much more likely cause for the head wound.
Which puts us back into having little or no evidence as to who started the fight. A highly relevant point, as a person who starts a fight cannot then generally claim self-defense if he kills the other guy because he’s losing.
I do not, of course, know that is what happened. But then neither does anybody else. Except Zimmerman, and his recollections, even if 100% honest, are inevitably affected by his POV.

Read an article not long ago that the African blacks do not see American blacks as their own. In Africa when the nations come in to help the people there they respond and for that certain areas are developing and their helping one another overcome years of hardship.

Fed gov will move to charge him with violating Civil Rights and subject him to another trial even if he is found innocent of the first one. If he beats that, the black groups will fund the Martins to file a civil suit for wrongful death. In a civil suit, you are presume guilty and must prove your innocence. By the time all is done, Zim would have legal fees for three major trials.
The video ABC first put out was a video of a video playing on computer monitor (you see the camera wobble and move left to right including barelt showing the time date stamp on the bottom of the original video image.) Originally I thought this was someone in the Sanford police department sympathetic to Martin who took the original video, played it on a screen and videotaped it and sent it to ABC. That still may be the case.
But now it appears possible that the original was sent to ABC, they videotaped the video playing on a monitor to degrade the quality of the video in order to create the narrative that Zimmerman had no injuries.
The other possibility is that the video was indeed made by someone at the Sanford PD sympathetic to Martin and then leaked to ABC, making it necessary for the Sanford PD to release the actual video FILE to counter ABC’s purposeful distortion and false narrative and show that in the original video Zimmerman indeed had a gash on the back of his head.
Read yesterday that it wasn’t till ZImmerman had visited the DR that he knew his nose was broken AND that he had a small concussion. Have looked but cannot find a source for this information and link was not given.
If this is true, Martin’s family is gonna have a few surprises when they go to court. Paraticularly if forensic results are also consistant with Zimmerman’s report.
Having been “taken into custody” and “interviewed” more than once I must say everybody is being rather casual. Handcuffs look to be an SOP thing rather than a real worry that he is going to cause any harm.
I don’t know exactly how the law would be interpreted in this case. It says “provokes the use of force against himself,” which I would assume might mean something other than initiating the use of force himself, perhaps verbal aggression, etc.
However, I will assume your interpretation applies.
This does not sound to me like a good law. A person who starts a fight, is losing, and is therefore “in imminent danger of death or great bodily harm” should not, IMO, be allowed to claim justifiable homicide and walk if he then kills the other guy. This would apply to just about every bar fight that happens, and FTM some of the fights I got into in high school.
In such a case I don’t believe a charge of first-degree murder would be justified, or possibly even second-degree. But one would think manslaughter or something similar would be appropriate.
If taken literally, I could physically assault someone, which is a crime, and then kill him when I’m losing, and just walk away. Giving me a legal incentive to kill the guy defending himself rather than take a beating. If he survives, I’m charged with assault or possibly assault with intent to kill. If I kill him I walk.
That just doesn’t sound right.
If Zimmerman is NOT tried because of stand your ground (which I hope and pray he’s not because he’s innocent), the family CANNOT sue civily. The law prohibits it. :)
He had no option to retreat or break off the engagement. It is this specific factor that permitted the use of deadly force. If Martin were merely "winning" a mutual fistfight, Zimmerman would have no right of self defense under Florida law as I see it.
