Why Are Conservatives So Shocked At Ryan and Rubio? The Evidence Was There All Along
PolitiJim.com ^ | 3-31-2012 | PolitiJim (@politiJim)

Like everyone else, PolitiJim heard the rumblings of the Ryan-Rubio Romney rubber stamps starting on Wednesday night.  If you’re a PolitiJim reader, and you think I was riled, rankled or upset, you need either new reading glasses or some ginkgo biloba.

I’ve had Twitter friends assume the race is all over now.  I’ve had fellow patriots speculate on whether we should quit trying to fight for Newton Leroy, and even conservative headlines this morning about the “death” of conservative movement and post mortems galore.

What are you so shocked about?

I wrote of the betrayal of Mike Ryan three times.  The first was during the Boehner budget ceiling debate when Mike Ryan and Allen West caved to the $1 Trillion defense cuts and would not “hold the line” with DeMint and Bachmann and the Tea Party 22Mike Ryan was not with us.

Second was when he let Newt squirm on the false accusations of Newt’s “social engineering” statement (that proved justified from the restult of Ryan budget plan 2.0).   A conservative committed to truth wouldn’t allow a fellow conservative who had just profusely praised his plan 3 days earlier in print and interviews to hang like that.  It was a flag to me that Ryan either had personally not taken the effort to listen to the David Gregory interview, has thin skin and a bigger ego than believed, or has an entirely other selfish agenda.   I’m LEAST likely to believe the last one.  But again, Mike Ryan was not with us.

Conservatives are shocked at how few of us there are, not that some Republican officials endorse liberal candidates, for that is the norm.

He's good friends with Jon Rubio.

Some dude who wasn't with us, duh. Pay attention.

Neither he nor Melvin Korynskyltous-Jaaven were with us.

“Right after Willard loses I’m leaving the Republican party”

If he is nominated, the morning after for me. Though I will probably still get begging letters from them till the day I die, or the party does. 50/50 as to which is first.

At least you're being realistic and not trying to hypnotize yourself into believing Romney has a chance. I'm treating this one like a mid term election and accepting the white house as a loss.

This is no different from the crap we all do with in laws we don’t like or folks we work with who we don’t like. Why some folks don’t understand that the business of politics is much like other office situations in a lot of ways - decorum when you don’t really like someone being among them.

First, I think we need to get to the bottom of this “Mike Ryan” guy! He sounds shifty......

This isn’t a RINO vs Conservative battle we have going on. It’s more like a GOP Establishment vs the people, the base, conservative grassroots, etc. Once a person enters the “establishment” realm, it seems like good people are sucked into the establishment swamp. Patriotism is dead.

I’m not sure what will fix America. Conservatives don’t appear to have the courage to do it and “liberals” have become full on marxists.

At the end of the day, I have to ask myself if I’ll try to face my maker with excuses about the lesser evil or whether I can proudly proclaim that I chose neither.

The GOP establishment is ruled by the same old Ivy leaguers who run the Democrat party. In the end, there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between either one.

I know that Ryan didn’t go to an Ivy league school, but his wife did. That’s close enough to give him the elitist mind set.

First, I think we need to get to the bottom of this “Mike Ryan” guy!

He studied under Melvin Korynskyltous-Jaaven.

Published two papers with him. Went on a cruise with Melvin's wife and took pictures of toucans and sloths.

Mike Ryan was also placed on the "No Fly" list due to some of the sloth pictures.

I thought this was common knowledge.

This WOULD be a spot on article except it’s PAUL Ryan.
PLEASE, guys, if you are going to make a point, get the names straight. This kind of writing, while we might know who Ryan is, looks like maybe the author isn’t quite as up on things as he is trying to say.
Yet another bullet in the left’s ammo box.
DON’T give the left a reason to mock us.
Yes, we say these betrayals coming. Lots of us said so. Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio are moving on up. They will go with the flow...and as Sarah says....”Only dead fish go with the flow.”
It’s truism we should pay closer attention to. Conservatives should not be fooled again.

Make the RINOs form their own third party of warm-spit "moderates."

The Tea Party is taking over the GOP.

We have to learn from Obama and the Paultards how to hijack the caucuses, and beat them at their own game.
