Shocker: Romney - Marin 2012*
Reaganite Republican ^ | April 2, 2012 | Reaganite Republican

Sky-high hopes for Rubio as VP go up in smoke...

With triangulating RNC pollster-eggheads having convinced Team Romney that a Hispanic running-mate is somehow essential to Republican victory in November
(rather than superficial things like policy, principle, ideas, experience, etc) the shaky, unloved front-runner apparently felt the need to wrap up an early commitment from some other heavy-hitter with major name recognition....

Since Rubio is unavailable -and after (colorful) talks with Charo ended in disappointment- actor Cheech Marin has stepped-up to
fill the perceived void on the 2012 GOP ticket. Romney's surprise move has shocked some observers, wags wasting no time in labeling the pair 'Flippy -n- Hippy'.

with consultant Thomas B. Chong (choking, left)

Yet VP nominee-in-waiting Marin oozes confidence:

'Look, the dude made me nervous the first time I met him, too...

I know he looks like a narc, man (laughs)'.

Cheech went on to say "With my (California- ouch) divorce,
I need some dough, bro! And all I got to do is convince a couple million vatos that Romney is 'cool' and I got a easy 4-year gig.
Sounds like a real hassle, I know-- but most idiots in this country will believe anything you tell 'em, look what happened last time."

"I'm already working on few things- proud to say that we got Mitt to lose the mom-jeans ... all jacked-up high and  #%&@!
He's got a few nice Caddies, you know- but of course they look lame, could use some rims. But the dude dishes out dinero everywhere he goes, that's going-over well... da boyz call him El Guapo."

Asked about his qualifications for the job, the washed-up comic retorted sharply:
"You know how much #%&@! loco-weed I'd have to huff down to be half as dumb as Joe Biden?"

Marin added "Obama, Axelrod... they were really counting on Hispanics, and they also thought they had the stoner-slacker vote all sewn-up, facing that mama's boy Rubio!
But they didn't count on me being in the mix, ha ha."

*belated April 1st greetings to all

He might as well pick someone like this. We are going to lose and lose bad if Romney is the nominee anyway. Having Romney as the nominee is like a bad joke anyway.

My point precisely... and same for the racial calculating, like we’re picking a Miami TV weatherman or something

Can Romney officially change his name to “Obama, Anybody But”

If we nominate Romney my whole spiel will have to be, “Yes, he stinks but at least not quite as bad as Obama on some things yet.”

Quite the rallying cry, huh?

At least Marin would get the Ron Paul supporters on side.

Warning: Verbose.
In the last presidential election cycle, a very acceptable (except that he was a Mormon) Mitt Romney was forced out of the race before my Texas primary even took place. At the time, he had spent eleven million dollars of his own earned income. The choice, made by the establishment, was John McCain. Romney bowed out. Mitt Romney was gracious in his withdrawal from the race. Sarah Palin came in to save McCain from utter embarrassment.
Experienced Governor Rick Perry was gracious this time around even though he was the purist of all the candidates with Christian credentials and as a bonus, was an Eagle Scout, vocal 2nd Amendment advocate, and had served his country in uniform. Not enough, screamed FReepers who are posting on this very thread. Not good enough! They called the distinguished Governor every despicable name in the book and questioned his patriotism. They mocked his wife. They pointed to the racist rock as though the very essence of Rick Perry lay upside down on the ground. They had decided Cain was the only one to lead this downtrodden nation and we would sing gospel songs all the way to glory-land. We would sob at the beauty of his voice. In the end it was going to be black man against blacker man. Talk show hosts across the nation trumpeted their brother. Supporters breathlessly ran as fast as they could and jumped on the mighty Cain train. They blamed everyone when it ran out of fuel and they had to be dragged off screaming and kicking. They wailed and cried and blamed Governor Perry, Governor Romney, Karl Rove, and David Axlerod....and those women who filed complaints a decade before. Snicker. Of course, it wasn't Cain himself. Imagine. Then they all ran and did the Newt thing for a while afterward, having given up on Bachmann and Palin. They decided Newt was the savior, even with an un-Christian past. It was okay. Newt could talk. It was going to be okay. Newt could give speeches. It was okay.
Now they want Santorum who couldn't even hold on to his own Senate seat. They want mean-spirited Santorum who wouldn't step up and courageously support a Conservative candidate over Arlen Spector. They want Santorum who can't hold a candle to Governor Perry nor Governor Romney. They want Santorum, who even Governor Perry warned as he was leaving the race, was not a real Conservative. He's the guy. He's the one to beat Obama. And if they can't vote for him? Well...they're gong to vote for nobody rather than Mitt Romney. They'd rather see Obama in office for another four years, by God. Well. Makes you wonder.
Vote to bring a majority to the house and senate who will be brave enough to hold the president's feet to the fire. Vote for hometown heroes who will vote NO on nominations for federal judges if necessary. Vote to bring Conservatives to office in local politics.

I do not know where you get this bogus disinformation!

I do not appreciate your efforts to undermine the best Hispanic running mate for Romney. Of course, that would be Antonio Banderas, with Charlie Sheen as runner up. Charlie is probably a Natural Born Citizen, but despite that, would appeal to the younger, drug and alcohol-addicted voter.

“younger, drug and alcohol-addicted voter. “

Same ones that brought us hopenchange and more recently were throwing #occupy tantrums coast to coast

SCUM!
