When the trucks stop running in America, there will be mass chaos.

Are you prepared for that?

I don't think most people would be prepared enough, even some of the die-hard preppers.

I just plan on taking out as many zombies as possible before they get me.....

Prepper (((ping)))

You see, it is very expensive to hold and store inventory-————

Makes one wonder why ‘inventories rose’ being reported month after month doesn’t it?

We know they store the oil on barges offshore, but where are all the other ‘inventories’ being stored?

All the warning signs are here, and it is prudent to think about how one should react given any of the dire signs occur.

However, I have a big, big problem on the Prepper shows. Firstly, a real prepper doesn’t advertise. At most he/she seeks out others to learn and prepare with. Secondly, advertising - participating in the ridiculous “Prepper” shows on TV is assinine. It gives the liberal conglomerate ammunition to marginalize and denounce. It also transmits to the enemy how preppers can be defeated.

An example of this is the DHS probing and questioning suppliers of emergency goods. This is fact and has been discussed here. It does not make good sense to advertise openly what you do if you have enemies that want to enslave you.

I think all human-kind instinctively know something has been set in motion. Not just preppers. Just look at the multitude of popular TV programs that are now focused around post-apocalyptic survival skills and guns. They are on every channel. It’s an epidemic of TV programming targeted to an ever growing audience. JMO - Like dogs that can sense an upcoming earthquake, I think God has given man the senses to detect something much much bigger.

I posted the original articlethis yesterday as blam shows in post#2 so I will not ping the preppers list.

If nothing else the whole worlds economy is a house of cards just waiting for the right zephyr to send it tumbling.

If the present spending continues I don’t see how we can avoid a collapse like that of Argentina ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yerKMQc7-w&feature=grec_index )but on a global scale.

But the market is up you say, yeah it’s up using billions in ‘printed’ money in the hands of corrupted bankers, investors and their cronies. The world is now flooded with fake and faux money. The game is so rigged and now even the ‘house’ is starting to lose.

When the whole thing tanks as it will what do you think the entiled class will do when they can’t get their cell phones, their food stamps and EBT cards, rent vouchers and so forth.

What we will see is a much more violent version of Argentina, we will certainly see something much closer to Bosnia. American has become Balkanized and splintered, we no longer share the same basic beliefs we have become pocks of people with little in common with one another.

And many of this pockets are very larger entitlement minded and believe they are owed much by others and already shown that they will use violence to get their due.

I see many many small business wiped out by flash mob looting, and see rape, robbery and murder for murder sake. You will see what I call ‘pocket pogroms’ where ‘yutes’ will think no more about killing those unlike them than most people think about stepping on a roach. That will be the test of many. Most preppers I know are Christian people and they will hesitate to do what they might have to do to stop the ‘yutes’. On the other hand the ‘yutes’ won’t think twice nor lose a minute of sleep, in fact they will smile and laugh about it.

Think of this quote which is one of my favorites:

“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Siege of AR-558 (#7.8)” (1998)
Quark: Let me tell you something about Hew-mons, Nephew. They’re a wonderful, friendly people, as long as their bellies are full and their holosuites are working. But take away their creature comforts, deprive them of food, sleep, sonic showers, put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time and those same friendly, intelligent, wonderful people... will become as nasty and as violent as the most bloodthirsty Klingon. You don’t believe me? Look at those faces. Look in their eyes.

On top of all who knows how many saboteurs (Islamic, Chinese etc) and sleepers have crossed our borders and are now just waiting to cause havoc.

For those who are just starting or are old hands at prepping you may find my Preparedness Manual helpfull. You can download it at:

http://tomeaker.com/kart/Preparedness1j.pdf

NOTE! THIS IS A FREE DOWNLOAD. I DO NOT MAKE ONE CENT OFF MY PREPAREDNESS MANUAL!

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

As the LDS say “When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.”

Or as the bible says: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
NIV Proverbs 22:3

Lastly this for the doubters and the scoffers.

“There is no greater disaster than to underestimate danger.

Underestimation can be fatal.”

During Digital Equipment Corporation's long, hideous slide to corporate death, I worked for a while in the company's Six Sigma Group. This nonsensical fraud claimed that we could become so efficient that there would be only three mistakes per one million actions -- the 6th standard deviation above the median number of mistakes per one million. This is, of course, quite impossible in any human activity, but 6S had its grip on a lot of companies in those days. Part of 6S was JIT -- Just in Time Inventory Management, as referred to in this article. JIT is a bomb balancing on a beach ball; even the slightest outside force brings the whole thing down into disaster.

We do indeed live in a world in which an end to long-range road transport would result in our being instantly thrust back into the 18th century. This is the theme of a lot of sci fi, some of it very good. Get yourself and your family prepared.

As I read this article, I couldn’t help but think of a family we know who prepped big-time for Y2K only to have their basement clogged for about six years afterward.

Depending on the disaster, most of the supplies would be worthless anyway. If you are dying of some kind of radiation poison or other biological, then a lot of good all the Spam, powdered milk, or syrup will be. Also, do these preppers then build themselves a FORT? Are they also prepping to turn away relatives who didn’t prep? I could ask a million ?s about this silliness, but for the time being, I’ll just accept that some people exist to entertain us.

I remember one suggestion I heard a while back; that was to put back a reasonable supply of small denominations of money - ones, fives, and tens, and some smallish coins - because you may need to have some exact change due to cash registers not working. Assuming even that would be acceptable in such an event, but you stand a better chance of functioning with a few ones and fives instead of having a bunch of large bills that require change when you make a purchase. - Hide them in a safe place; and have a decoy piggy bank in plain site with some pennies and nickels and a few dimes in it so possibly a thief would be tickled to find that and move on.

We need to be on speaking terms with our neighbors just in case we have to go to a barter system, too.

We also need to keep our gasoline tanks in our cars reasonably well filled. We live quite far out in the country.

Regarding food; take the advice of Doris Jantzen Longacre (”The More With Less” books from years ago) and SHORTEN YOUR SHOPPING LIST, eat simpler, and quit trying to eat gourmet every day. Be sure to provide for WATER, WATER, WATER. You can’t live very long without it; you can live a long time on less food than you’re used to. I have a lot stored on the “fat of the land”.

A source of heat in winter months is vital. We got a wood stove several years ago; and have not regretted it. Also got an automatic wood splitter that’s been worth every penny we paid for it. Last year, the storms toppled lots of trees on our place; fortunately, husband likes to use the chain saw, but if you have to, BUY some good stove wood. - Also, have some serious cover (quilts, blankets, etc.) squirrelled away.

No one listens to a -
Twinkie -
But, this is some good advice!

Empty supermarket shelves and the rest of the shortages resulting from no deliveries are only the Act 1 in a disaterous scenario.

Act 2 opens when the zombies start leaving the central cities heading for the suburbs and the rural areas beyond.

(Think of Hurricaner Katrina and New Orleans only no one is coming to bring food and water to the unprepared.)

Act 3 is when they get to our neighborhoods. First a trickle - just a few dozen. But in no tme at all there will be hundreds, then thousands, then tens of thousands.

They will be like a plague of primate locusts, devouring and stripping everything they encounter. When they move on there will be nothing but remaining but devastation, bodies and bones.

Excerpt from "Foreign Enemies And Traitors" by Matt Bracken:

Click for Author's Web Site and more excerpts

"It was terrifying every minute. You couldn't sleep a wink, even after three days. We were hoping and praying that the people outside would just go away and leave us alone! It was raining hard, and the people outside kept yelling and demanding that we let them in. They were banging on the front door and kicking on it, getting madder and madder because we wouldn't let them in. My father yelled back that he had a shotgun and he would shoot if they came in, but it was just a bluff. He didn't believe in guns, remember? Not until he really needed one--and then he only had a make-believe gun. It was quiet for a little while after he said he had a shotgun.

We thought his bluff had worked, but then big rocks came crashing through some of our windows, paving stones from our walkway and our garden. Right after that, our front door was smashed in with a metal pole, I think from a street sign. They demolished the door and pushed right over the table we had against it. My father was standing there with his ax raised, and that was the last I saw of him. He never had a chance. A whole gang of men rushed in at once, and they were climbing through the smashed windows too. They all had knives and spears and clubs. I ran for the cellar, praying that nobody saw me. I think they were all focused on my father because he had an ax.

"I ran down the steps and crawled backwards into my spot behind the old oil furnace. The furnace was cold because we didn't use it anymore since we switched to gas heat, and of course the gas stopped during the earthquake. So we had two different furnaces that didn't work. Anyway, I'd found some plywood scraps to cover my little hiding place behind the furnace, like a false wall. I was sitting on the floor in a little ball, not moving an inch. All I could do was pray. Hold onto my carving knife, and pray.

"The worst part of it was I could hear my mother upstairs screaming. The sound came down through the air ducts to the old furnace right next to me. She screamed and cried for at least an hour, until her cries grew weaker and then they stopped. I felt like such a coward, hiding in the cellar. I could hear them stomping around upstairs, knocking things over and raising hell, looking for food. They must have found the liquor cabinet, because when they finally came down to the cellar, they were drunk. I don't think they even realized there was a cellar in the house; they were probably just checking closet doors and found it by accident."

Comrades why all this negative thinking... Everything is fine, no problems at all. We should all be good little subjects and marvel at how Big Brother Obama takes care of us.

Now what do you all think about Dancing With the Stars? I think little Laura Ingles (A.K.A. Melissa Gilbert) is awesome but she won't make it to the end...

Oh my! How did civilization make it this far? How did we ever survive without trucks, air conditioning, garbage disposals and prozac? Personally, I find it hard to go a day without a good ole Lady Gaga song. What’s life without Air Jordans and Pay-per-view?! Oh the humanity!/s

Preppers aren’t crazy. They’re the most sane amongst us. Imagine, it’s now crazy to provide yourself with the basics and not rely on anyone else to provide it for you.
