Mending Fences

Now that the dust is settling in the Republican candidate stakes, it looks like Mitt will be our nominee. And I’m fine with that. Really. I am.

After four years of President Downgrade, we will need to do some fast damage control if we hope to regain even a bit of our former standing in the world community. With that in mind, I have several suggestions for actions President Romney can take very soon after he is sworn in:

1.Contact someone in England and suggest that, because of the very special relationship that exists between the two countries, we’d really love to have that bust of Churchill back and proudly displayed in the White House.

2.Issue an invitation to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to a White House state dinner in his honor. Allow him to dine with the guests.

3.Ditto the Dalai Lama. Allow him to enter and exit by the front door.

4.Make sure there is a fully-staffed Protocol office, and that they actually know what they are doing regarding things like vetting guests at state dinners and choosing special gifts for foreign dignitaries...

The tea party must be revived.

The only bright spot I can see in a Romney candidacy is that he will not throw the election like McStain did. Anybody who can smear Gingrich and Santorum with a vengeance will do the same thing to Obama. I think Mitt wants to be President so badly he will do whatever it takes to win.

The one thing we all need to keep sight of is that BHO has got to go.

The tea party got Alinskied. It is divided between physical conservative and social conservative. If social conservative does not win the day, communism barks at the door. If you don’t know this, I beg you to educate yourself. Santorum knows this, that’s why he makes such extravagant statements about pink bowling balls and such.

We MUST stop ALL this talk about Romney being inevitable! As one thinks and says, so will it be!

We must point out to people that history is repeating the 2008 election, and like McCain, Romney would lose against Obama.

The people must take control! We can’t rely on Congressional elections to save us. With the GOP-e in control, there will always be a Boehner. There will always be a McConnell.

Are you kidding? There very may well be no 2016!

You think I don't already know that? Our calendar may get reset to BO and AO.

I also know that in all likelihood, I will not be able to cast a vote for someone who will not protect our most innocent citizens. Like I said, I'm done with voting for "the lessor of two evils".

We're not done yet though. Miracles still happen. If you don't believe that, explain no one dying in Dallas/Fort Worth tornado outbreak.

Actually he's been far kinder to Obama than he has to conservatives but do what you gotta do I guess.

I know this - we must get back to the Founders, the founding documents, and Natural Law. These are the only things that can keep the people from being swayed. We must get back our core convictions - right now, we’re just a house built on sand.

I absolutely agree that we are caught between a rock and a hard place. I am seeking a rallying cry. For me, NUTS! works. Do you know the history of this? People must be stunned into realizing they are smack dab in the middle of a war and they are going to suffer the consequences of it, even if they don’t take a side!!!!!!! American’s who care about the constitutional republic better wake up or they are going to be irrelevant very, very soon and their children are going to be slaves.

You can be a Romney Republican or you can be a conservative. You can’t be both. Pick one.

Oh wait. You already have...

We ARE in a war that’s far beyond what the “fiscal conservatives” can see. They want all the benefits without the Founders.

They want the benefits without the One who bestows the benefits. It don’t work that way!

You can be a Romney Republican or you can be a conservative. You can’t be both. Pick one.

But you can vote for Romney and still be a conservative. You many have to hold your nose, but it is possible. In fact, it's vital, if Romney is the nominee that we all do just that.

As I said upthread--and others have pointed out as well--four more years of BHO means at least two more socialist Supreme Court judges.

It's all very well to conentrate on the House and the Senate, we all SHOULD be doing that. But if we don't take the White House as well, our nation is doomed.

If the choice is between Obama and Romney, I’ll take my changes with Romney. Because I’m pretty sure the country will not survive four more years of Obama.

And we’ve got a lot of great young guns waiting in the wings for 2016.

"And we’ve got a lot of great young guns waiting in the wings for 2016."

Waiting in the wings for what exactly? For Romney to step aside and let them run for President? Are you really that ignorant?

Stop with the nonsense and wage a war against Romney. I realize you're in Massachusetts, but do you have to act like you're a Massachusetts brand of "conservative"?
