Last night, I linked to the story about Arby’s blocking conservatives on Twitter for protesting the company’s protest of conservative talk show giant Rush Limbaugh.
Today, the Right Sphere notes that Arby’s president is a big Democrat donor.
Here’s the bottom line on this latest manufactured attempt by the Hush Rush mob to make it appear that he and the radio stations that carry his show are suffering economic harm because of Soros monkey-directed pressure.
It’s complete bull. Total Kabuki theater. Arby’s is not and has not ever been a national sponsor of Rush’s program. In the radio industry, advertisers can buy “Run of Schedule” — commercials that are to be aired during different times of the day for more than one day on local stations. Arby’s most likely told local stations not to run their ads during Rush’s show. That is not a cancellation of an ad buy; there’s no loss of money.
This is prog gesture politics to create the appearance of an anti-Rush advertising stampede. It’s astro-turfed by lying Media Matters hitmen.

is somebody keeping a list? I am ready to express my opinions via my wallet
OK, I’m getting confused.
If the DemonRAT party is the party of Labor and the “Little Guy”, then why, WHY are all these big corporations so sold out to the DemonRAT ideology that they would be willing to risk their business for it?
Is it just me?
Am I missing something?
Dang! I like Arby’s food. Well, no more.
I’m not sure how they stay in business. Everytime I drive past an Arby’s, the parking lot is empty. If they did advertise on Rush, they might actually drum up some customers.
Yeah. I like the French Dip. Oh, well.
Me too. Oh well, so much for the 2 for $4 Beef ‘n Cheddar coupons I just printed out yesterday.
Bump
I have no problem with Arby’s supporting Liberals, but they wont do it with my money.
I thought Arby’s was okay until I moved to the Northeast and had some from places like Hap’s, Kelly’s, and local places like Uncle Kosta’s. I’ll never step foot in an Arby’s again.
Good. Let the liberals ingest the crap sold by Arby’s as “food.” I wouldn’t feed it to my dog, let alone my family.
>>WHY are all these big corporations so sold out to the DemonRAT ideology that they would be willing to risk their business for it?<<
It is a combination of:
* The upper crust in management are so rich that they can indulge their fantasies of “helping” using other people’s money. When you are so rich that taxes are just a concept and not a hardship, you can afford to be as liberal as your evil little heart desires (think Soros).
* You think these guys aren’t buying access? If you pony up enough money to have dinner with barry and moochele, you can certainly mention to certain Senators as well as to him that certain legislation might be a bad ida and should never see the lgith of say. They are playing the same game as all large corporations, just backing a different ideological horse.
Yep. I don’t understand why companies don’t just stay out of these controversies. Just tell the activists to get stuffed. Take the position that you don’t take positions, and that advertising is done purely to reach customers, so you advertise where customers are.
arrrghhh. Arby’s was one of my favorite fast food restaurants. It will be a long while before I go back.
I will go get Hardy’s for lunch in a few minutes.
It’s not especially good, but a few things they had are OK once in a while, and the kids like it. But no more.
I have a bunch of coupons in my car. I will trash them this evening.
When I was young, I routinely at vast quantites of Polonium-209.
Of course, it had to be smothered in hot sauce.
That explains a lot!
My son worked over last summer at Arby’s...man the stories he came home with were enough to keep me out of that place w/o the lib rants!!!
Place a big order at the drive through-
then, when you get to the window, hand them the crumpled up coupon explaining you don’t support those that support the liberals.
All fast food joints these days are way more expensive than they used to be. Anybody notice that?
Arbys has been going downhill for years and was sold in its entirety for $430 million to Roark Capital last year.
http://www.bizjournals.com/wichita/news/2011/07/05/arbys-now-owned-by-roark-capital.html
Glad to find this out. I had their product last week and now I say to heck with them. Screw you Arby’s their are plenty of other places to get crappy fast food.
There are only a handful of franchises in the area I live. The few times I have been at Arbys I found the roast beef way too soggy. It is very easy to avoid something that in essence is avoiding you as well.
That is a nice line.
Please reply to their email to let them know they are losing a customer over this. I just did.
Edit to #23, The sale price of Arbys was $130 Million cash and $190 million in debt.
Was in Arby’s once, a long, loooong time ago. Ordered a BBQ beef sandwich. Received a sliced roast beef sandwich and a PACKET of BBQ sauce.
Have not been back since.
My daughter was extra good one weekend and wanted Arby’s curly fries. So I dropped $30+ for a family of 6 for a greasy gut bomb where I could’ve spent half the price at Subway and had a lunch the next day. Yea, makes it even easier to avoid them now.
That’s because our fiat money is being devalued.
If you’re missing something, so am I. I wonder why they were dumb enough to pull this stunt? They have to know it will hurt them more than it will hurt Rush.
Without details this accusation is meaningless.
Stockholders should sue.
I never hear anything about Arbys. Now - my one memory - will be that I would rather go hungry.
Nice job - Arby’s management. They should be fired - for cause.
Is their extruded beef product really meat ?
Bad publicity is still publicity..... :o)
Always vote with your dollars !
Hope the Easter beer bunny is good to ya Laz.
No Arby for this family.
I’m gonna miss their curly fries...
It seems like most of the companies who announced an ad boycott were never sponsors.
It takes the meat from 2-3 Arby's sandwiches for the sandwich to be filled as it should be, not the bun sandwich it is these days.
I remember when they had a 5 roast beef sandwiches for $5 deal... but they charged an arm and leg for fries and drinks.
lol.
I haven;t ate there in a LONG LONG time.
The two Arby's near Busch Gardens/Adventure Island (one on Busch Blvd the other on Fowler) is always empty. Of course, it could be that the DEMOCRAT who owns Arby's would use it to take a TAX loss, that us little people can't take!!
Rush Limbaugh audience, 18 million.
Company receives maybe 1000 complaints (mostly liberal, seminar respondents) about advertising on Rush Limbaugh show.
GASP! Knee-Jerk so hard that the CEO wets his pants and cancels advertising on Rush Limbaugh midst great fanfare from the media.
WHEW! Made 1000 questionable customers happy and pissed off 18 million customers who support Rush Limbaugh and his sponsors.
Coke also has executives with piss poor math skills.
They abandoned organization that supports "stand your ground" laws after complaints from gun-grabbers and have now pissed off millions of gun owners.
How many gun-grabbers drink Coke compared to how many gun owners drink rum and Coke?
Another company to avoid.
That’s too bad. I love Arby’s.
True story:
In the early 60’s, my family took a vacation drive thru Florida - BDW (Before Disney World). We stopped at a Hardee’s for Lunch. Within an hour, we were all ill & in serious need of a toilet. Back then, few places had a public restroom.
In almost 50 years, I have NEVER set foot in a Hardee’s.
Since then, I have added a few more to my Hardee’s List. Arby’s just made the list.
If they want to take a corporate political position beyond their own industry, then I am free to take a political position against them. Simple as that.
You mean Florida was here before Disney??? I thought Disney built Florida!! :)
McD?
