This stuff is a clear attack on the traditional family. That kind of family is "offensive".

The day rapidly draws near when society will decide that the non-traditional jerks are "offensive" -- and when that day comes, they better watch out.

I’ve been done with all the PC crap for a long time. I hope this bright young girl doesn’t knuckle to the pressure and change the picture. If someone gets offended, which I doubt, that’s THEIR problem. They can FOAD.

At the end they say the superintendent wants the mural to stay. But it’s already been painted over, so I take it he thinks the part with the husband and wife was offensive.

The bizarre, the weird and the perverted are the noble normal. The traditional are without rights and are scorned in our society in order to be inclusive.

The way I understood it, the mural hasn’t been painted yet. She apologized if the sketch offended anyone, but hadn’t decided whether she’d change it or not. Maybe I got it wrong...I was seeing red the whole time the clip was running.

You got it.

Her sin wasn’t the traditional family thingee, its the fact that the family she depicted was white. And that got her in trouble.

Had she painted a black family, you think for a millisecond that any of those feckless swine would have DARED to paint it over?

The “public school” is BY FAR, the largest, most expensive, most subversive, and most destructive entitlement program in the country.

The “public school” is better understood as the “government school collective”.

It is silly to imagine that you can fix the public schools, because the very concept itself is communist.

Any child that comes out of the government school collective with their moral compass and common sense intact does so in spite of the government school indoctrination, not because of it.

If you want to win the culture war, have lots of children (see my tagline) and homeschool them or form your own school cooperative with your church or synagogue and like-minded friends and relatives.

Nobody loves your children more than you do.

Nobody can teach your children like you can.

Your children would love nothing better than to be taught by you, if you start doing so before they are corrupted by the government school collective.

It is hypocritical for you to submit your children to an authority with whom you fundamentally disagree. And your children will know it.

If you have children, make whatever sacrifices you must to get them out of the public schools.

DO NOT FEED THE BEAST!

Especially not with your own children.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

It’s about time people started pushing back; the opposition may be a mile wide, but they are a yard deep. They will crumble. We have the power, we’re all just too nice to use it. Maybe a little more FOAD in our responses will be good for us . . . and the country.

A drawing of a couple with a child is OFFENSIVE? What would be “correct” according to that school official? Maybe a guy in jail? Maybe a school teacher with a 10 year old boy toy? Maybe three guys with whips and sex swing? What are they looking for??

I comfort myself that maybe one day we will find Planet Conservative and fly there.

Just have her say that the Mom is a teacher and is pregnant by a 15-year old student, the man is her fourth husband and he is sexually molesting the younger son, and the older son has begun hormone treatments for his sex-change operation.

Yep, a “traditional” family is now offensive. But had the student depicted two leather-clad homo dudes as parents, with one of them bent-over and bullwhip in his rectum (a la Maplethorpe), well yeah, that would be downright virtuous!

The country has fully entered a deviant bizarro-world where good is evil and evil is good. Things like this sure make the whole prism of ‘politics’ seem rather moot.

I've had it with the left's Orwellian doublespeak, shaming us into accepting things we disagree with, etc. Remember the commercial "stop saying gay"? Well I will decide what words I will use, and that commercial was GAY!

Oh, the great good news this weekend!

First, I learn that my hometown from high school days has had to cancel the egg hunt because of possible parental violence.

Now we learn that Mrs BN’s high school has hit the national news with this PC idiocy.

“The whole world is festering with unhappy souls.
The French hate the Germans, the Germans hate the Poles.
Italians hate Yugoslavs, South Africans hate the Dutch
AND I DON’T LIKE ANYBODY VERY MUCH!!”

Source: http://lyrics-a-plenty.com/m/merry_minuet.lyrics.php

It’s coming.....

“...I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.”

“He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!” Rev 22:20

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

(but, yeah, “trials of many kinds” can get old...)

(and yes, Lord, I know I am a long way from “mature and complete, not lacking anything”)

It wouldn’t hurt to remember that the late Mr. Maplethorpe’s
infamous self-portrait of him expanding, his, ahem “horizons” was made possible by the diversion of our tax dollars via the so-called National Endowment for the Arts.

Thank you so very much, Washingcrats, for making my taxes go towards the financial support such a worthy cause (pukus maximus!)

I defer to Robert Heinlein’s wonderful observation pertaining perfectly to cases such as this one:

“A state-supported artist is an incompetent whore.”

In Maplethorpe’s case, it was never truer, and for oh-so-many different reasons.

Let's see, it's the married life that offended and needed painting over because it doesn't represent every student's life. Riiiiiight.

He can walk? A+ grade? The cap and gown? The laptop? The musical instrument? Being male? Are these representative of every student's life?

That verse always reminds me of the church of God the Tester, in the David Weber novels.

No, I am not taking the Word in vain, but the parallel always struck me. Our Lord will not test us beyond out limits. He will test us right up to the edge of them - usually far beyond what we THINK we can handle. He knows when we will break. We just think we know and panic.
Unless we trust. The guy is right there, offering to share the load that we find too heavy. All we have to do is say yes.

Thank you. Mornings are never my strong point and I get slightly discouraged.
(Sorry for the informal wording, I was asked to run the youngsters bible study today, and am not over the language!)

Blessings to you!

I think it just has to get a bit worse before it gets better. I do have a strong conviction that it will get better. Like a sick patient, sometimes they have a ‘healing crisis’ and symptoms exacerbate and finally they improve.... Like sometimes a person has to vomit out the poison, then they get better.

And blessings to you and all those in Old Blighty. We worked with many Brits in East Africa and have been blessed with a few short visits to England.

Some day we hope to rent a narrowboat for the Llangollen Canal & Pontcysyllte Aqueduct loop.

As to trials, the very best things ever to happen to me, after (1)being saved and (2)marrying my wife, were USMC Boot Camp at Parris Island and my time in Vietnam. People often think me crazy when I tell them this, but God used both to greatly bless me.

He is in charge.
He knows what He is doing.
He loves you & me more than we can ever comprehend.
I read the back of the Book, and we win!

Things are getting to the point where Christians are finally going to understand what it means when The Bible tells us that our battle isn't with flesh and blood. It really is time, as it still isn't yet too late, for all those of us who call ourselves Christians to become the Christian soldiers that The LORD has called us to be.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Seems to be, at least for the people I know well, though panic may not be the right word. It feels that way to me though. One of the joys of a full and active life is getting uncomfortably aware of your breaking point.

Personally, I get to the stage where I can’t go on any longer and I just know I’ll crack any second. I feel I just can’t take any more and I freeze. Others I know try to hide, or to run from whatever the trial is.

That is when, EVERY time, a small voice in my mind speaks up and says, come on, you can do this. Get up and keep going.
Even during the worst trial of my life so far, when I had turned from God and cursed him with every fibre of my being, that voice was still there. I had turned from Him, yet He stayed with me.

Blessings to you on this most holy of days!
