Maybe somebody should call Father Jenkins at Notre Dame and ask him to teach his pal Barack a bit about the religious doctrines Obama professes to believe.
Last Wednesday at a White House Prayer Breakfast Barack Obama took his plan to redesign Christian doctrine up a notch.
To the stunned amazement of onlookers Obama the Muslim trained and educated president challenged the divinity of Jesus Christ. Of course he thought he was clever with his sop to Islam and his “finger in the eye” pronouncement, but his remarks leave no doubt about his continuing hostility toward the biggest obstacle to Islam’s world domination: Roman Catholicism.
Comparing himself to Jesus Christ, Obama told his audience, “For like us, Jesus knew doubt. Like us, Jesus knew fear. In the garden of Gethsemane, with attackers closing in around him, Jesus told His disciples, ‘my soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. We all have experiences that shake our faith. There are times where we have questions for God’s plan relative to us. But that’s precisely when we should remember Christ’s own doubts and eventually his own triumph.”
A professor of theology at a Catholic – Catholic university (as opposed to the fake “Catholic” universities) commented on Obama’s remarks saying, “My question is what would He be doubting? Would He be doubting the Father’s care and merciful love?
Is He doubting the value of his mission? I don’t think there is any real context that I could understand to say Jesus doubted.”
Keeping in mind that Muslims don’t believe Jesus was divine makes sense of these remarks. Obama was obviously projecting his own “doubts” about who Jesus was …..“….the Bible does not say Jesus who is God had any doubts. But why would Obama know that?

He can however recite the muslim call to prayers in perfect Arabic.
I find Obama’s comparison to God unbelievable. It’s simpy not rational. I truly think he is mentally ill. Will bet my last dollar that he is on meds....and has been for a long, long time.
The level of stupidity and contempt, that this man has knows no bounds.
What’s worse though, are the masses that still somehow support him and believe his bulls**t.
I think 0bama is as cunning as the Devil himself.
I think maybe he IS the devil himself, who has always used disguises to fool humankind.

Let’s get the quotation correct. When you do this, you can plainly see that Jesus was not overwhelmed with doubt or with fear.
This is what happens when one’s religious experience is limited to watching The Last Temptation of Christ.
Obama is a Muslim (by his own admittance); therefor a deceiver (by their own admittance): therefor offspring of the “Father of Lies” according to the Word . He may or may not be “THE” antichrist, but without a doubt he is an antichrist. Kind of creepy, huh?
in one translation. in another it is slightly different, so lets go to the words in the Bible that are NOT translated, but rendered through the centuries in the original Aramaic. Our Lord’s very last words:
“Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” which, translated into English become “My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me?”
and while it is a quotation from Elijah, is is also a shout of pure despair, and yes, doubt.
Do not let your hatred of Obama warp you away from the central truth of Christianity: Jesus was FULLY human AND fully divine. He was capable of every human emotion we are, and yes the bible does show him in moments of sorrow, joy, anger, and even doubt. If Christ had no doubts then could he truly be said to have faith?
What is faith but the decision to believe even in the absence of evidence and the presence of doubt? How could Christ be our exemplar and model if he operated without faith? Does not Paul tells us, that without faith,we cannot have hope of the Resurrection?
Consider the passage where the devil tempts Jesus three times in the desert. What is that about except a reflection of the human jesus overcoming his doubts to serve the father? Can you even be said to be tempted if you never have any doubts as to the proper way to proceed?
In that story Jesus is on the cusp of beginning his ministry and Satan offers him three paths to take, that while they are not the one his Father intends, appeal to Jesus’ human side, and even his human compassion. They reflect Jesus’ own doubts about how to carry out this incredible task he’d been given.
Each of the temptations SEEMS like a good thing, at first. Jesus COULD make bread from stones, and by extension he could easily have used his divine power to alleviate hunger and disease in the world. But that was not what the Father intended. Jesus was on a mission to save our immortal souls not our bodies, and by focusing on the one,Satan hoped Jesus would be overwhelmed and unable to deal with the more important one.
So then Satan, realizing he can’t sidetrack Jesus’ mission attempts to “help” him fulfill it. If you are here to convert the world, says Satan, why not use your power to FORCE the world to believe, either by demonstrating miracles so powerful that they have no choice but to admit you are the son of God, or by using your power to bring the world under your rule and kingship (and would the world ever have had so wonderful or enlightened a ruler? Would not the Pax Christorum have saved the world incredible misery and hardship? wouldn’t YOU want to live in a world ruled by Jesus?)
But again, Jesus knows that is not how the Father wants him to use his time on earth, and again he remains steadfast. But surely, that passage is in the Bible to demonstrate to us that even the Son of God can be tempted, to strengthen US when we have uncertainty about whether what we want to do is serving ourselves or God.
Take away Jesus’ ability to doubt and you take away his ability to be a relevant guide to us fallible humans whose lives are FILLED with uncertainty and doubt
Sometimes I marvel that Zero hasn’t been struck by lightning or something; and then I am reminded that Hitler, Stalin, Mao et al were all permitted to “run their course” and at some point even repent; but they never did. There is a scripture which states that God even gave the infamous Jezebel “space to repent” but she did not.
Bottom line; The world appears to be winding down to mayhem, just as prophesied, and Believers need to just keep on keeping on and listening for the last trumpet and the Lord’s shout, per 1st Thessalonians 4:13 - 18.
I’ve always thought that Jesus being a prophet, knew that when He died on the cross (being the final necessary blood sacrifice), that His people (Christians) would suffer greatly for the next 2000 years proclaiming this sacrifice and what it meant. I’ve never thought He was afraid of the cross or the nails or the cat-o-nine-tails. I think He was asking God, just as Abraham did concerning Sodom and Gomorrah, if there was a way to follow a different path to avoid 2000 years of strife for Christians. He could see the suffering His people would endure.

Agreed. However, I believe that Jesus DID bear all of the things that we have to deal with - including doubt I would think. Perhaps he doubted some of his choices for disciples sometimes when they would ask stupid questions sometimes at some of his parables? ;)
Of course as God He is outside of time, so knew what was going to happen, so I guess there probably was no doubt. I seem to recall something about “not all things are revealed by the Father” - but that is probably pertaining to a prophet or something.
I won’t rag on Obama for this possible missinterpretation of scripture. However, I will call him a deceiver for using ANY references to the Bible for his political gain and using them like they form any basis for his faith.

Thank you. And I believe that Jesus WAS separated from God (somehow? not sure how - in that He is God?!?) as he had all the sins of the world laid on him. And while perhaps Jesus had no doubt that He, in three days, would rise victorious - he still asked “Why?”
Interestingly, how many times do we ask “Why have you forsaken me?” And unlike with Jesus perhaps - God IS still there with us.
