Much needed improvements to FOPA introduced in Congress

Introduced by Representative Morgan Griffith (R-VA) and co-sponsored by Representatives Bill Owens (D-NY) and Ted Poe (R-TX), House Bill HR 4269 would make several much needed improvements to the interstate-transportation portion of the Firearm Owners’ Protection Act.

They must also remove the machine gun ban. It was improperly passed in the first place when the FOPA was passed. We should also remove the short barreled shotgun ban, since those are the ideal home defense weapon, especially for those living in apartments, or on very small lots.

We’ll be pilloried for making any changes in direction of protection of the RKBA, so might as well go for rolling back some bad laws of long standing.

I agree with both points. The procedural shenanigans that Charlie Rangel used to “pass” the Hughes Amendment were shameful. :(
