I heard it on a “commercial” while Listening to Rush and had to turn the radio up REALLLLLLLLLLLLY loud to see if I misunderstood but I didnt.
Because Santorum was heading to a loss in his home state of Pennsylvania. Losing his home state (again) would destroy any chances he could have in future races.
By pulling out now, he preserves his chances in future races. Rick is still young.
Maybe things are worse with Bella than has been publicly announced, and they want to spend what time she has with her? Or could be that he was trailing badly in the GOP primary in his own state, which wouldn’t be good for any kind of future in politics.
wouldn’t it be wonderful if he tossed all his delegates to Gingrich?

Rickie must be delusional if he thinks he has a political future. He might have to wait 8 years for another run at POTUS. Even if Willard loses this November there will be a lot of GOP talent in the 2016 race, I am thinking of Jindhal, Christie, Rubio, Walker in WI, etc. The only reason Rick did so well was a sign of how bad Willard is and the lack of any legitimate alternative.

Newt on Fox News Sunday pretty much conceded to Romney. I know there are many angry FReepers today, trust me I got yelled at by the Admin Moderator when Rick lost IL and I felt like my vote didn't count.
But I will state for the thousandth time. I've met Obama I looked into the eyes of an evil megalomaniac.
I don't need to list how bad he is. I knew that when he threatened HOF NFL Player and Super Bowl Coach Mike Ditka to withdraw from the 2004 IL Senate Race, then he went after GOP Front Runner Jack Ryan releasing sex documents from his divorce from celebrity actress Jeri Ryan. It was "kinky" sex between him and his wife, yet it caused him to withdraw and bring in Alan Keyes the carpetbagger to pander... Lost by 70% of the vote!!!
Now, black panther death threats, GSA gone wild, more green energy scams...
This election is going to determine whether we live in a dictatorship. I'm not going to start cheerleading for Romney. I'm going to scream from the rafters how awful Obama is. And we must do everything we can to stop this man from a second term. We helped GWB in 2000, we threw out Gary Condit, we caught Dan Rather lying and threw him out of his anchor chair, we threw out Gray Davis, the list goes on...
This is the most important race of our lives. Vote that thug out, vote out all of the Rats, every single one. Take back the Senate big time. Then we need to go back to work fixing everything this dictator has destroyed. Starting with the military. The fact that our Navy is at its lowest number since World War 1 should frighten every American. Our enemies are building ships as fast as they can.
History continues to repeat itself, don't think China, Iran, Russia, Syria, Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda, North Korea, and every other despot in the world will not lay down arms and sign kumbaya because Obama bows down to them.
Finally pray for our nation, pray that we destroy the Democrats in the Fall. Not only Nationally but in every State race. I hope now that it seems this race is over we can all send our donations, support and prayers to Governor Scott Walker who MUST win. Otherwise you will see a domino effect which will target Governor Kasich of Ohio.
It’s not about being delusional, it’s about hedging ones bet. Rick may not get a chance to run for President again but no one really knows that so whether it’s you, me or him, we always hedge or plan for what may be in the future instead of just crashing completely (losing PA) and removing all doubt that it’s over forever
