The Republican Party is a managerial party that doesnt like to fight, doesnt like to read books, he said. This is why the Tea Party was so horrifying. Tea Partiers were actually learning about the Declaration of Independence. They wanted to talk about the Federalist Papers. It was weird. They could be golfing. The Tea Party thought they had a home in the GOP - even helped the GOP tremendously in 2010, and the GOP liked their assistance (Delaware, Nevada, and Alaska notwithstanding). Hopefully now they know better.

I planned to vote for Gingrich in the NY primary, but I may just sit it out. It was going to be symbolic anyway; his poor-me crap really turns me off, though. Seems to me you are doing exactly what you accuse Newt of doing. "Hmph. I don't like hearing the truth about Fox News so I'm not gonna vote for you."

I mentioned Reagan who was treated vilely by the press, but you'd never have known it to hear him. Counter that with Nixon who was alternately hurt and infuriated by the media and lashed out at them.
Unfortunately, Newt more resembles Nixon in that regard. I am not impressed with a candidate who whines about his media treatment even if it's true. And in this case, I think he's got a point.
But he's ostensibly still a candidate and this does him no good whatsoever. Do you think Fox will start treating him better because he called them out? They won't.
He should save his moaning for his memoirs after the campaign.
