Demand a Romney/Gingrich Debate!
FreeRepublic.com ^ | 4/12/12 | myself

Now that the choices are narrowed we should have a Gingrich-Romney debate

They would have more time than ever before to say their side, and Gingrich would get a lot of time to speak

TOPICS: Government; Politics; Society; Weird Stuff
KEYWORDS: cowardromney; gingrich; ineligibleromney; loserromney; patriotgingrich; poserromney; rinoromney; speakergingrich; yellowromney
He would DESTROY Obomney and Paul and show that a Gingrich/Obama debate would be a bloodbath (for Obama)

Myth has nothing to win and everything to lose by agreeing to such a debate, so it ain’t gonna happen.

Romney will never agree to it. He has no reason to. Newt’s campaign is broke, so why would he want to breathe new life into it?

Romney has nothing to gain, which is why he was already skipping debates.

This appears to be wrapped up, I can’t see Romney wanting to do this unless that becomes a good attention getting forum to attack Obama instead of each other IMO.

LOL, why would Romney agree to a debate?

Much as I’d like to see it, there is exactly 0% chance of this happening.

Myth has nothing to win and everything to lose by agreeing to such a debate,

Romney has too much liberalism to hide. He's done risking exposure.

I find Romney repulsive. In clean conscience, I simply can't see myself voting for him. I think I'd throw up - for real.

Which is worse? Romney I or Obama II?

It's (probably) down to that, unfortunately.

Since Mitt isn't likely to agree to any formal debate, Newt could always follow him around and "debate" Romney in absentia, as he said he'd do with Obama.

Nothing to lose, right?

Without the rest of the states like Iowa, Florida, New Hamphire etc. giving a darn about the other states that would also like to have a say in this process, Romney will probably get away with hiding himself and his views the rest of the way.

The other state parties won’t demand fairness for their sister-state parties.

The system is rigged and we all know it.

Yes, that is exactly what he will do.

In fact, I understand a big televised debate is scheduled down in Texas just before the Texas and California primaries, and two of the three remaining republican candidates have already accepted.

“Newt’s campaign is broke, so why would he want to breathe new life into it?”

To push the campaign in to summer, keeping the sheeple informed and interested, while keeping Obama’s bad news in the daily news cycles.

Debates are a CHEAP way to get millions of viewers, and control the news cycles.

Remember 2008?

It might actually work to Romney’s ADVANTAGE, and it’s not like NEwt has a chance at winning, anyhow, even though I support him.

The system is rigged, but the system still depends upon us going along with their rigging.

Newt has 9 lives. I am not counting him out until Mitt has certified more than the majority of deligates and even then shite can happen.

You can count on Texas going to Newt. With Rick dropped out, the deligate's he won may now be open to drifting over to Newt. When its a clear black and white comparison between Mitt and one Conservative, can't see many Conservatives wanting Mitt.

If Rick didn't have the grit to stay in he should have jumped out long ago unless he was shilling for Mitt.

Take the house and senate. DO vote for these!

Personally - and to each their own - I'm tired of the RINOs tilting the tables for their choice. I'm making my own choice this time.

“Which is worse? Romney I or Obama II?”

Obama II will push the country over the edge, and you’ll probably see the same crowds, hopping mad, in at least 1 out of 5 major cities that we saw in DC to protest PPACA.

Romney I will lull a Lot of the sleepers who call themselves Centrists or Moderates back to sleep.

We’ll get stuck with Obama Policies Either way, it’s just that if Romney wins, we’ll sit back and listen to all that crap about HOPE again.

We HOPE Romney becomes a conservative.
We HOPE he saves us from allowing ourselves to get snookered again.

Romney will never agree to it.

If the pundits are right, Romney will win the nomination and our nominee for the next leader of the free world will be someone who is afraid of Newt Gingrich - the cheerful one. The next leader of the free world should be confident enough and bold enough to pit his ideas for saving the country against those of Gingrich's. Otherwise, we just nominated someone for the next coward in chief of the US.

The more I think about it, the more I think it could hurt Romney, even threaten his nomination, if Gingrich and Paul go ahead with debates in every remaining state in the biggest televised forum on staewide TV they can obtain, with an EMPTY CHAIR with Romney’s name on it.

It just might work!

Your premise is fallacious. The race is not down to two candidates. Newt is not a serious candidate. Has not been for weeks.

It’s down to one.

So the rest of your claims are irrelevant.

Trouble is Ronpaul has already been outed as smoochin on Mitt.

No way the Lil Martian is going to assist Newt. Newt’s going to have to do this on his own with our help.

I don’t think you are privy to the latest information.

Mark Levin is the one who pointed the finger at Paul because he is familiar with the tactic of accusing your opponent of what you yourself are guilty of doing.

Now we all know it was Levin and Santorum who were “smoochin’ on Mitt” all along.

Try to keep up.

gnat, been keepin up, even though Paulbots wish we weren’t.

Mark Levin didn’t tell me squat. RonPaul told it on himself, fool, when he was polishing Mitt trying to get Rand a VP spot and himself a Treasury of FED post.

By the way, what you were trying to describe “tactic of accusing your opponent of what you yourself are guilty of doing” is better know as projection.

Paul never “told it on himself, you idiot. You are just repeating false accusations Mark Levin and his buddy Santorum were pushing.

And time has proven their accusations against Paul to be false.

Too bad, you forgot Santorum’s Pennsylvania buddy Levin just outed himself the day Santorum quit the race, on his own show when he endorsed Romney!

Since there will never be a Gingrich/Obama debate, maybe in the land of unicorns that some live in, the only one helped by more GOP debates will be Obama himself. The DNC thanks you for your suggestion.

Hey, X-squirt, I guess I have to remind you this thread started off about demanding Romney/Gingrich debates so the Republican primary battle could continue through to the Convention, and YOU are the one who tried to shift the subject to Paul in YOUR posts, when I pointed out your heroes Levin and Santorum have already ENDORSED Romney!

All I did was point out to you something that threatens your mixed-up view of politics - that Levin and Santorum are failing to support the conservative in the ongoing primary race, namely Newt Gingrich, because they have something else they think they can gain from Romney - the very thing they were accusing someone else of doing with no evidence whatsoever.

Now, even though they have plainly done it, with it actually happening before your very eyes, your only response is to lamely call names and falsely accuse me of supporting a candidate I do not even support.

You are in such a state of denial, you are hopeless.
