Game NOT Over – Conservatives Still Have a Choice and a Chance

When Rick Santorum announced that he was suspending his campaign, Drudge gleefully put up a banner headline “game over!” That’s a crock. Romney can still be beaten – and by beaten, I mean denied the delegates necessary to clinch the nod. But it will take work – a lot of it. Are you willing to do what it takes?

First, I must urge Santorum supporters to get behind Newt now. This should not be much of a leap – especially for social conservatives. The alternative, Romney, does not espouse conservative social values – and that goes without saying. The choice is clear.

On January 19, 2012, Jim Robinson of Free Republic, the home of true conservatives and conservatism, officially endorsed Newt. Jim stated, in part, as follows:

Newt is a pro-life Reagan Revolution conservative who led the Republican Revolution of the 90’s, taking the majority away from the democrats who had held it for 40 years. And as Speaker, cut the taxes, cut the government, cut the spending, cut the deficit, cut regulations, cut unemployment, brought the federal budget under control for four years running. And unlike Romney, actually blocked a socialist healthcare system from becoming law. And created a pro-growth, pro-free market, pro-jobs environment and extended the Reagan economy throughout the 90’s!! Newt is the ideal candidate to lead the Tea Party Revolution!!

Jim has been fighting the good fight for a long time, and his opinion is one of the few still worth its weight in gold – conservative gold.

Newt has two major (main) obstacles – 1) an intentional media blackout aimed at keeping him out of the public light (visibility)), and 2) he is short on funds.Yes, yes, I know there are others, but these are the biggies.

The second obstacle can be overcome with our help – simply put your money where your conservatism is and donate to Newt.org until it hurts – I guarantee it will hurt a lot less than having to hold your nose and vote for Romney in November (at least for those of you who are rational and will move heaven and earth to vote Obama out of office).

This will also help Newt overcome the media blackout, because it will give him the means to go “over the heads” of the media, as Reagan used to say. Of course, you can also volunteer at Newt.org and make calls for him, etc.

Second, you can use social media – Twitter, facebook, etc. to get the word out. Blog if you want – anything to keep Newt out there and above the blackout curtain.

If you have friends who are not currently Newt supporters – i.e., they supported Santorum, Perry, Cain, etc. and have not committed to Newt – contact them and bring them in the fold – especially if they live in States that have not voted yet. It is critical to turn these good folks into Newt voters.

Make sure you get out and vote for Newt if YOU live in a state that hasn’t voted yet – and make sure your friends, family, etc. do the same.

This is not over – unless we roll over.

I’m ahead of the curve. After Sarah, I went for Newt. It was only logical, but a huge disappointment. Now Santorum people have to get over this disappointment and get smart.

s I recall, a few months ago, Gingrich gave a masterful debate performance. Got a standing ovation, and gave the press a beat-down. At the next debate, Gingrich got TWO standing ovations and humiliated the stupid journalist “moderating” the debate on Obama’s behalf.

It was at that point that the media decided it was a two man race: Santorum and Romney. They basically cut off coverage of Gingrich entirely — because he was popular and effective.

Now the media wants people to think that Romney is the only guy in the race.

If these conservatives ditch Newt for Santorum, what make anyone now believe they will now go for Newt. I have little faith in these individuals that did not realize that Santorum would never have gone the whole way. He was in over his head. The only real Constitutional conservative is Newt. Obvious! I’m still absolutely convinced that Newt Gingrich is the junkyard dog we need to rip Obama a new one and send him slinking back to his Chicago doghouse with his tail between his legs. Newt has plenty of DC experience as Speaker, executive ability from his many enterprises, and a silver tongue that’s razor sharp! He’s fast on his feet, delivers it straight up with no hemming and hawing, and is often witty. His work with American Solutions was very impressive and as we’ve seen recently, Newt is able to put into words what the vast majority of Americans really believe. His fevered brain also has plenty of ideas for making government work better for taxpayers. Is Newt pure as the driven snow? No - none of the presidential candidates are in line for sainthood. Whatever Newt’s “baggage”, it pales next to Obama’s habitual lying and outright corruption - and unlike Obama, Newt is 100% American! Newt is like Larry the Cable Guy: send him to DC and he’ll “Get ‘er done” for all of us. Newt has “Been there, done that! Junkyard dogs are not show dogs, but they’ll save your bacon!

I am damn mad at what Obama and his fawning bootlickers have stolen from us - you should be too - and I want someone to represent me! Newt Gingrich is that man! Sic ‘im, Newt!

I’m NOT voting for Romney. Let me make that clear.

But people need to wake up and accept that he is going to be the nominee.

Barring that, I’m moving on to helping elect more conservatives to local offices and Congress. THAT is how we will win back the country. POTUS isn’t the only game in town.

If a groundswell of conservatives and independents throw Obama out on his ass and Romney benefits, so be it. We’ll primary him in four years.

Newt is pro-life so your statement makes no sense.I was mildly critical of Santorum because at times he seemed to be positioning himself to be the GOP Joe Biden - a gaffe machine in front of the press! Suggest we focus on House and Senate and the state houses—Win them not for Mittens and the GOP but for the Tea Party and Americans who love the Constitution.
