The UK Telegraph recently did a story titled "Strong men more likely to vote Conservative". Is anyone surprised by that connection?

I recently read a ‘scientific study’ asserting that people cognitively impaired (exhaustion, trauma, inebriation) think like conservatives. I’ve seen ‘studies’ that say that conservatism atrophies the brain and another that said that children who were more fearful than their peers grow up to be conservative. For this reason - I reject this study as well. The MSM and the psych schools are not going to portray conservatives fairly. The studies are slanted. A blogger at IronShrink.com sometimes analyzes the latest pop ‘studies’ denigrating conservatives and every time, he is easily able to prove the studies invalid. Yes. ‘Prove’. By that I mean he exposes bias, invalid comparisons, faulty logic, wishful thinking etc. in these studies.
I suspect the MSM uses ‘strong’ to mean ‘knuckle dragger’ but I could be wrong. But I can’t applaud the OT study unless I see how it was constructed, if it was valid etc. If I don’t, the idjiots who keep cranking out ‘conservatives are more fearful’ ‘conservatism rots your brain’ type ‘studies’ will gloat that I reject studies I don’t agree with and embrace the same quality of study if it does appear to support my views.
In fact, this could be a study ‘leaked’ as ‘strong men’ and then, when the conservatives embrace the study, it may be ‘revealed’ that by strong, they mean like Hugo Chavez etc. Yeah...I am THAT jaded by what the MSM has shoveled on us.
But thanks for posting - it’s always interesting to see how the ‘narrative’ is ‘framed’.

Perhaps physically and morally weak men are attracted to liberalism because the appearance of legitimate government power is their only opportunity to get the control over others that their moral failings make them desire?
